Great business that installed the original HVAC and now service it. They show up on time and are professional.

Good quality service with professionalism. Based on the technician and installer’s professionalism and respectful mannerisms, I would recommend this company to everyone!!!!

I was sent to Myers Comfort Specialists by American Home Shield due to the A/C in my home not working. My biggest regret in this whole process was not immediately asking AHS to send me to someone else… especially after reading customer reviews!

The technician for Myers came to my house on a Friday. After inspecting my A/C unit, he said the only issue was dirty coils. The estimated price to clean them was $589 and none of this would be covered by AHS. I have a ticket given to me by the tech with proof that a coil cleaning would be $589 (not a replacement). Being that it is the hottest month of the year, and a Friday on top of that, I was VERY eager to get my A/C turned back on. The Myers technician didn’t offer to schedule the cleaning service, barely answered my questions, and basically ran out of my house to his next stop (while leaving cigarette butts in my yard).

Since Myer’s offered no immediate solutions, I called a local HVAC company to clean my coils. They only charge $176 AND could do it that Friday… hooray! When the technician for this company showed up to clean my coils, he told me that the coils did not need to be cleaned. You can imagine how confused I was? According to the new technician, the coils aren’t the issue! The A/C wasn’t working due to the interior fan/motor.

After the new technician’s report, I immediately called Myers. The male who answers the phone for Myers admitted (after a lot of questions from my end) that the Myers technician didn’t even look at my entire A/C unit after naming “dirty” coils the root of the problem. He said the entire unit would be evaluated AFTER I paid them to clean my coils. Why can other HVAC technicians look at the whole unit, but not the Myer’s technician? I must add, the male who answers the phone for Myer’s is EXTREMELY rude! I don’t know if it was because I am a female, or simply because he has an awful disposition, but I certainly would not want someone who treats customers with such disrespect to represent my business. There are many complaints about him on other reviews, so I know I’m not alone in this (especially on how he treats females).

Myers did not submit their report until after lunch the following Monday. AHS couldn’t send me a second contractor until Myers submitted their stuff. So, I was stuck with no AC throughout the weekend and eventually an entire week due to the lack of efficiency of both companies. I have spent a lot of time looking into Myers Comfort Specialists. There are SO. MANY. reviews just like mine. Many people complain about Myers technicians finding a “problem” that isn’t covered by AHS. Once the client pays Myers to fix this “problem,” their A/C doesn’t start working again. Then, the real problem is addressed. Ultimately, please STAY AWAY from this company! They are a SCAM!!! I am sending my experience and screenshots of similar reviews to AHS and the BBB so this company will hopefully get dropped by AHS.

Another HVAC technician that AHS sent agreed that the coils are fine, so no $600 cleaning was necessary. He, along with every other technician I have spoke with, gasped at the steep $600 price Myers charges. This technician also agreed it was the fan/motor. That’s two technicians who disagreed with Myers. Wish I could say I am surprised! Thankfully I have AC now, no thanks to Myer’s!

P.S. - If a member of the Myer’s staff would like to discuss this review, my name and email are attached. I have noticed you comment on almost every negative review contradicting the reviewer’s information. I have documentation crediting everything written above if needed. Thanks!

I really appreciate the professionalism exhibited by Myers' service technician, Mr. Tristian. That is why I offer this unsolicited commendation to express my appreciation for quality service. Not only that, I was actually out of town when the technician was working on my a/c unit. The technician explained my problem to me so convincingly over the phone, I took up his offer to purchase Myers' coil cleaning service. He explained WHY he was replacing certain parts on my unit. Not only that, but he explained the positive effect the replacement parts would have on the unit. Thanks to Mr. Tristian and Myers' obvious commitment to quality service, (and fulfilling that commitment), I am now enjoying "Artic Cold Air" from my 20 year old a/c unit!! Thank you Myers!!!

We had an issue with our current furnace leaking carbon monoxide. The team was able to get out problem diagnosed and had several option for how to proceed. Meyer's service technicians were knowledgable and patient, taking time to answer questions and clarify points of misunderstanding. We were able to determining the safest route would be an installation of a new furnace and air conditioning unit. The crew was out the next day for the install, worked safely and diligently through the morning and early afternoon, and were complete within a day. This company did wonderful work, has great customer service, and I will be using them for any further needs we have with our home.

This is what I sent to Myers via their contact link on their page: I would like to file a complaint with how the AHS service call was handled. I was told the freon was low (2lbs) and the air handler would need replacing. AHS agreed to replace the Air Handler but Myers was wanting to charge 2800.00 for install and freon (R22). I have since asked another vendor to come out and they showed me freon was NOT low, the main drain line was NOT cleaned out as the other rep claimed he did, and the he showed me the entire unit was filled with water. The diagnoses of why the unit was freezing was due to suspect fan motor. Not great business practices.

9.27.22 : No one is disputing that the secondary drain pan was full and the unit was leaking from the casing because the main drain pain was full. This was due to the main line being clogged. We have not noticed a freeze up since the line was properly cleaned out. The main drain is flowing properly now and I am planning on even cleaning it out further along with the pan and the coils. The other company showed me the gauges and freon WAS NOT LOW! I would love to get your company out here along with the other company I trust and just have a polite discussion on if the freon is actually low and the coil is leaking. (put yours and their gauges on the unit and truly review each and see the freon). With that said it won't matter your company will stick to your assessment regardless. This one review prob does not hurt your business but as for me, we will not use your company in the future and when someone asks for a recommended company we will steer them to another company. The one thing that I thought was honest (assuming the air handler was actually needing to be replaced) was the cost of R22 freon is going for about $150-200 lb so at least your assessment in regards to that seemed accurate.

James and Evan did a great job. They were on time and stayed until everything worked perfectly. Communication throughout the day was excellent and they explained everything along the way. Both were courteous and professional. We’re longtime Myers customers and plan to stay that way. Highly recommend them for service too.

1st visit with them, they came out and tried to UPSELL me a whole A/C unit. The fan just needed to be replaced. 2nd time trying them, Thermostat did not respond. Was told they did know how to fix it. Still charged me a fee. If you value your money look somewhere else. Asked to have the Service Manager call me back, never received a call.
