Started having problems with my furnace since the start of the heating season. Stopped by the office and talked with very friendly, helpful staff and got an appointment sooner than expected.
The tech, Dustin came out and we thought the problem was had resolved
After that appointment I still had problems and went a week without heat. This time a different tech came out and the problem was resolved. There was no charge for the second call.
A couple techs arrived. Did detailed and extensive check of A/C system. More than other companies have done. Explained as they went along too. Spent considerable amount of time, again compared to previous tune ups. Solved a couple issues and offered reasonable suggestions to achieve maximum cooling with our system. No pressure throughout visit. Good cleanup and we’re impressed with results. Went on reminder/alert list for heating and cooling.
Technician came out within 30 minutes of my call, inspected my furnace, serviced what needed to be done and explained in detail the overall condition of my furnace and told me what I might expect in the future. I definitely will continue to use Stramowski in the future.
Used Stramowski for an annual furnace check-up. I booked them because they were to only company out of 3 to tell me exactly what the technician does during the check up and how long. The technician took the time to show us the cracked heat exchanger and explained our options. We decided to get a quote for a new furnace and someone else came out that same afternoon. Will use again.
Although my service call was related to a November furnace installation issue that caused the air conditioner failure to deliver properly, the service I received was the best home service I've ever received. Not only did Stramowski Heating make things right; they made me feel good about choosing this company back in November. They will be my goto for all of my heating and air needs.
I have consistently been pleased with your service. Recently I needed some additional work after Anthony who had been called here on a Sunday due to some flooding problems into the condo below me looked everything over and then told me how the problem could be avoided in the future. My only question is why no one had mentioned the past when the same type problem had occurred with the air conditioner. That time it did not cause flooding but the water did damage the ceiling of the unit below us. We just did not know it until it happened again. I am so grateful that he had the expertise to see what was going on and tell me how to fix it. It was expensive but very worth the cost for the peace of mind. I suggest you discuss it with him and also train all your technicians to be aware of the drain pipes coming out of air conditoners. Are they slanted down to help gravity or installed parallel which allows the condenser to drain onto the floor. I know I am oversimplifying but think it is so important for all upper condo owners to be made aware of. Thanks for this opportunity.
Stramowski heating installed a new furnace in October of 2013. Today I had no heat this morning. I called them and they sent a technician later that day. When he arrived, he diagnosed the problem right away and said it was the inducing motor. I was told this was a common problem on this furnace and they no longer install this furnace. He stated he had the replacement part on his truck and asked if I wanted it fixed.
Here's my complaint. When he told me the cost of the motor was $813, I was taken back at the cost on a new furnace. I asked if that price included the $105 service call and I was told no. WOW. He asked if I wanted it installed. I paused a second and Googled that motor and found them at supply houses for prices ranging from $230 to $290. (And that's off the part number on the motor). I felt I didnt have that much a a choice not to get it fixed because I was without heat. I could have told him no and paid him the $105 for the service call, ordered the part on line for $250 and wait for it to come next week and be without heat, and then find someone else to put the part in.
So he was at the house for 45 minutes. Diagnosed and fixed the furnace. For a grand Total of $919 for a $300 part. And $600 for labor.
I personally feel this is a good example of price gouging
First I had a sales call. The salesman was low key, which I liked. He had literature, explained all. I chose the furnace and it could be installed the next day. That day, the technicians were on time. They were polite and answered any/all questions I had. They explained the new system. I had to leave and found the area clean and tidy on my return.
Imagine you take your vehicle in for a repair and it includes a free brake inspection. They determine you need brakes. You agree to have your brakes done. Sadly, the mechanic charges you additional labor for putting your vehicle on the lift and removing the wheels even though that was part of the tune up.
That's how Stramowski operates. During my tune up / cleaning, they remove the capacitor to test it. The technician recommended it be replaced. I agreed. In addition to the price of the capacitor, they charged me $30 labor to access the old capacitor and remove it ( it was already out). I called the company and inquired about the labor. I was told there is a set fee for each repair whether they have the part out already or not.
I dont feel this is a good policy seeing as the removal and reinstallation of the part was already part of the tune up. I completely understand the up charge of the part, because of the convenience aspect.
The tech identified an issue that was keeping our heat pump from operating, in addition to the regularly scheduled maintenance. Even though he said he wasn’t experienced with heat pumps, his training paid off.

A1 service from Stamowski and Justin.
I would definitely recommend them.
