Stramowski Heating only fixed what was needed and did so in a timely manner. I will have them do my yearly maintenance on my heating and cooling system in the future.

I had Stramowski out to do a tune up on my furnace about a month ago. When I turned my A/C on for the first time, it was leaking. I called on a Sunday when I found the leak, they told me the call should be covered under their tune-up guarantee and he would be out between 12:00 and 4:00. At 1:00, I received a phone call saying that he couldn't make it out until later in the week! Wait, what?! Later in the week? After I called another company to come out, it ended up being that Stramowski never reattached my hoses to the pump so they were leaking on the floor. Very disappointed and will not be using them ever again. How can you advertise True 24 hour service but not come out for DAYS after a call?
I've dealt with Stramowski in mostly emergency heating situations. They have been courteous, helpful, and most importantly QUICK, even going above and beyond to help ensure that people living in the home had heat during extreme cold, even on one occasion, New Year's Eve when they had already sent most employees home! I recommend them to everyone. I've never had such good service and will go with them whenever it is feasible.
Stramowski Heating is the best. They are 💯% honest and that's what I like about them. Their techs are very knowledgeable and do great work. I trust their judgement when it comes to my heating and air conditioning needs. It's the only company I'll call. Period.
When my old HVAC company abandoned me, Stramowski came to save the day! My first interaction with this company was very positive, and I will continue to conduct business with them in the future. First off, they were very friendly and accommodating when setting up a time to provide a quotation on a new AC unit. Having the summer heat, a broken AC unit, an 8 month old and a pregnant wife, it was important for me to get this fixed quickly, and Stramowski came to quote me within 24 hours. The gentleman who quoted me did so professionally, and answered all of my many questions. I never felt like I was being misled or up-sold, as I have experienced with other companies. The price was just right too! The installation team was also prompt and did the job with quality. They answered all of my questions and cleaned up the place to be better than when they found it.
From the first mechanic, to the sales man, to the installers everything was done in a professional and timely manner. Quality work and quality equipment. Everyone was friendly and kept me informed through the whole process.
Another Update July 2022: Stramowski submitted an update to their response to my review of them below. This is my repose to their new update. I harbor no ill will toward the company as it is my choice to decide what company I give my money to. I just provided my experience with them as a review for others to make a decision if they wanted to use Stramowski. I still have the old unit they tried to get me to replace (over 2 years after the fact) and it is still running with only a new coil replaced by a local company. That says volumes about how I feel they try to push customers into larger repairs or replacements than they need. Tried to push me into a whole new unit when it was not needed. I will have to replace my unit in the coming years but it was not necessary at the time that they tried to push me into it. Just my experience.
Original post: So I gave Stramoski Heating and Cooling 2 stars because they came out quickly and diagnosed the problem correctly. That is where it ends. The quote to add freon/dye was way over what it should have been. $600 is what they quoted me. Another local company charged me $215. The quote to replace the evaporator from Stramoski was $2500. The local company quoted me $600. Stramoski's plan in charging high repair costs is to make the home owner think "if I am putting that much money into replacing parts, why not just get a new unit". The local company I called after waiting 5 days in a home with temps over 85 degrees charged me a realistic cost for adding freon/dye and told me that putting in freon now would give me back cold air in the house and it would not leak out in large quantities like Stramoski lead me to believe. Plus the local company told me there was no need to replace my entire A/C unit and only to repair the evaporator. My family and I had slept in the basement for the past 5 days because of how hot the house had become when we did not have to. Stramoski completely overcharges and tries to get the home owner to spend way more money than they ned to. My suggestion is to go with someone else or get additional quotes if you decide to get one from Starmoski. It will be then that you see how overpriced they are. Additionally, the technician from Stramoski was offended when my jawed dropped at the completely insane price to add freon/dye. Do yourself a favor and go with someone else. Canceled my sales rep meeting with Stramoski and will recommend the other company to anyone else with A/C or heating problems.
I have been with Stramowski Heating for the last 8years and they have always been there for me, emergency after hours and non-emergency issues. They have been prompt with time and always friendly and give honest advice. I like their promotions, they make me feel like a important customer. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great job. Thanks Stramowski Heating!
I was very happy with the furnace tune up they did. It was everything that their sales consultant Horst Zschogner said it would be and more. Their technician, Kyle took apart and cleaned everything. He was here for over two hours working. Well worth the money.
Had my heat go out in December and chose Stramowski initially. They were prompt and did an initial diagnosis for $105. This service seemed fine and fairly standard. Where I wasn't very happy with Stramowski was their estimate for a blower motor on an older furnace for $2,200 dollars. They very much seemed to push me towards replacing the whole furnace rather than fix it. I ended up getting a second quote from Urban Heating for $990 for the same part and labor.
