Advantage Heating and Cooling

I am very pleased with the service I received from Advantage Heating and Cooling. The Technicians were extremely pleasant and professional and after installing my new furnace and water heater the inspector said it was one of the best jobs he had ever seen which made me confident in knowing I had things done properly. I would recommend them for any of your HVAC needs and will definitely use them in the future. Thanks for the great service.

Air conditioner went out and, because they has such good Google reviews, I called them on a Friday, technician came on following Monday. He was polite and thorough. He did attempt the up-sell on the maintenance contract, which we declined. I appreciated his offering advice on how we could maintain our system on our own.

Then, really disappointed when discovered (after the invoice) that the part they replaced, a dual capacitor, was billed at $284.46! Found the exact part online, from a reputable HVAC Distributor, for $67.88.

So, called and discussed with them that we must have been charged for the wrong part. Understanding mark-ups, but that was about a 1500% mark-up! Was told that it was indeed the cost of the part and that it was the "industry standard flat-fee" because theirs is a "heavy duty" part.

Pretty bummed because had almost felt that we had found a fair company to do business with. They do efficient work, you just have to really get gouged $$$ for it. :/

Jeff was who came and did my service. He arrived during the during the 2 hour window. I appreciated the call from the office letting me know he was coming from Portland and should be at my house in 30 minutes barring any heavy traffic.

He was friendly, thorough and figured out that my gas valve was bad (what I had guessed) within a few minutes. While doing the system cleaning/checkup he found that my starter capacitor should be replaced. Not only did he give me the price for him to replace it, but also told me if I felt comfortable that I could do it cheaper and gave me good sources to buy it. For that I gave them the 5th star!

I was very happy with the service I received and will use them in the future!

Jeff is Advantages Ambassador and represents them very well. Jeff has been servicing our heating/AC for years and knowns it well. Having a contract to have the semi-annual PM's along with a well knowledge engineer has save me money and have prolong it's life. I know that soon I will have to replace the unit, again this is were Jeff has been a great help on figuring out the road we need to travel to that end.

Absolutely top notch service. Our service tech was extremely knowledgeable about heat pump systems and repaired ours completely. Another company could not even diagnose the situation correctly...we at least knew they were off base and did not hire them. Advantage sent a highly trained professional who diagnosed and fixed our problem completely in one trip....no silly "I don't have the part on my truck" stuff either. Very impressed with their phone customer service rep too. I highly recommend this business.

All of the employee's that I interacted with at Advantage Heating and Cooling were very personable, easy to communicate with, and they did great work. From the behind the scenes coordinating work done by Becky, the quote done by Matt, and the install by Wyatt and Josh, everything went smoothly. I'm looking forward to continue working with the Advantage Heating and Cooling company in the future through their maintenance savings plan.

We hired Advantage to replace the whole house heat pump/furnace system.
Work began two days after my initial go-ahead, and the job was completed in LESS THAN two days after that.
Throughout, everyone involved was friendly and informative. The work was done with little disruption to our household. (Our dog disturbed the Advantage crew more than they disturbed us.)
We are completely satisfied. Good work went on here and the result is a system that is simple to operate, silent, and reliable.
This was an excellent experience and I will recommend Advantage Heating and Cooling to anyone.

Jeff did a great job diagnosing the problem with our heat pump and air handler. He had the needed part with him and fixed it in a timely manner.
He shared with me what he was doing as I watched. That I really appreciated. And it was hot in the attic where he had to work.

I was very pleased with Advantage in the installation of my heat pump system. I picked 5 of the highest rated contractors in Vancouver area to get a bid from and decided on Advantage. They were the cheapest when comparing similar models but this is not the only reason that I chose them. They also replaced my refrigerant lines (recommended) rather than flush out the old lines. There was nothing said in the bid about reusing the old lines because they were behind finished walls and it would be too hard to replace them. One company wanted $400. extra to do this and all the other company's said they would just flush out the old lines because it would be too hard to replace them. Advantage replaced them and had no extra charge in their price. Their installers were also very professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them or to use them again.

Needed major work done on our unit. Jeff came out and spent the day to get it all done. It is working great. He actually came a bit early to get a start on the job and didn't really quit until it was done. We are having him back for servicing of the unit going forward. Loved working with all the advantage group.
