My initial review was 5 stars, until yesterday after only having the brand new unit in for just a couple of months we were told that the unit coils needed chemical cleaning, I have never revere heard of investing in a unit that suppose to be able to withstand the outdoor elements, but only after a couple of months you actually think it’s okay for the customer to spend an addy 352.00 to clean a unit that is stationed outside. Customers if you can help me understand I look forward to your feedback. What a rip off..
Technician came on the wrong day. No call for missed appointment the day before. Technician performed one check and nothing more. Did not inspect filter, thermostat, or anything other than the blower motor. Felt from the start, that based on age of unit, he wanted to push for replacing the unit. Whether the unit needs to be replaced or not, I still expect a full inspection. We cannot recommend this vendor.
Very disappointed with McCarthy Services. I was given 4 different 4-hour blocks of time when a service person would arrive, and no one came. Finally, a person came on the fifth attempt. The service person was competent. He worked for 3 hours cleaning my HVAC unit. This was entirely labor, as I was not billed for any parts. The labor charge was $600, or $200 per hour, which seems exorbitant.
We had the entire furnace system installed (Lennox AC/ heating). From start to end , we are very impressed with the whole team at McCarthy Services. Nick, the Sale Representative, Charlie the technician, and the installation team are highly skilled, exceptional. Their customer services, skills go above and beyond . We definitely will continue to use their services , and refer them to others.
We called McCarthy services for a water heater flush. David came by and examined our water heater. He determined it's too old to flush and that it risks breaking if we flushed it. We were told it's better to replace it. Because we have home warranty with Dominion, we decided not to do it. David gave us an estimate for a new water heater and left. We were not charged for the visit. We like the advice we received from him regarding water leak detectors for the home.
They are severely over priced. The tech was very nice and repaired my ac (that is only 2 years old) quickly, but I called around and I was charged twice as much as they other places even if I would have had to pay for the part. Needless to say I will not be using them in the future.
Replaced HVAC Split System quickly and affordable, customer service, and the installation crew was amazing! As a team they made me comfortable that I made the right decision and the results proved it!
