I will start by saying I had used this company in the past (including installing the system I was having problems with and contacted them about on April 14, 2023) and never had an issue with them. This time, however, was a whole different story. AC wasn’t working and called shop first thing the morning of April 14. Mark advised that even though they were busy, he would get someone out that day. Perfect, right? Nope! Jeff arrived about 11:20 and was gone about 30 minutes later. Not only did he not contact me about what the problem was, but he also added coolant without authorization from me. My adult daughter was at my home and he never told her anything about what he was doing. Only that he added coolant — after it was done. He did not volunteer that there was possibly a leak. I had to have my daughter ask him if there was. His response — there was probably a slow leak but he couldn’t fix it that day because he had too many calls. No offer to come back — just a bill for $445 which didn’t even indicate how much coolant was as added. I called the shop to find out what was going on and Mark was rude and condescending. I asked for a return call and as of this writing — still crickets. I contacted another company that same day and told them the issues I was having. They were here Monday, April 17, and determined that the inside coil was leaking — major part — and any coolant that had been added just 72 hours earlier was kaput. Kaput to the point where I couldn’t turn my system on. My system is just under 5 years old so luckily under warranty. Evercool didn’t even bother to determine the if there was a leak — only added coolant which was pointless. There were also 2 error messages on the inside unit which weren’t diagnosed. Turns out — panel board kaput. I appreciate the fact that folks are busy but, if you’re so busy that can’t do a job right the first time and with integrity, then you should just say you can’t get there that day. Will never use Evercool again.
I phoned to accept their contract on the condition of the answer to a Federal tax credit eligibility question about the equipment on the proposal. The man that answered the phone was curt, unpleasant and condensending, not to mention unknowledgable AND TOLD ME TO CONSULT WITH MY TAX PROFESSIONAL!!! Really??? Not true and misdirection.
This was my third call to EverCool, and the demeanor of this man was always the same. The initial call he was surly. When their "on the way" text came through it showed my neighbor's house. When I phoned to correct the address, the man was argumentative and dismissive. He said he would contact the tech, but the tech went to my neighbor's anyway. If you want to deal with that kind of customer service everytime you have to deal with your HVAC, have at it. Personally I paid more to do business with a company that is pleasant and responsive in a kind and positive (and knowledgeable and thorough) manner.
EverCool's service was exceptional as usual. They were very prompt in coming out to what we thought was a repair but turned out to be a new installation (old heat pump was damaged and 17 years old). Marcus was very professional and a pleasure to work with.
We have been with Evercool for five years now. They are great, friendly and helpful:especially Jared. Jared is my favorite, he is knowledgeable and makes you comfortable. Would highly recommend this business.
wonderful-- we do the repair/maintenance yearly contract and they are great folks, explain everything and teach me about what they're doing when I ask and they don't talk down to me or mansplain. I have learned a lot from their staff and they are honest and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!!
My first time using Evercool. Very helpful, very knowledgeable and efficient service man Jeff quickly found that my heat pump motor was dead, and was able to install a replacement right away. I’ll make Evercool my go-to shop for all my HVAC needs.
Jared was absolutely amazing. We have just bought our first home here in the USA and had an issue with our basement flooding quite badly. Jared has been one of the best workman I have had in my 3 years in the USA. I expect a high standard and he was very efficient and explained everything to me so that I could understand easily.
