Parley's PPM Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning has always gotten to us as soon as they could and has always given us excellent service. We have turned to them for years, and have never had any reason to be dissatisfied.

Our visit last from Casey last night, January 26, 2017, was no exception. He came right during his dinner time, found the problem with our furnace promptly, reprogrammed our thermostat to exactly what we needed, and made clear and concise explanations concerning everything he was doing. We will always call Parley's PPM for our furnace needs.

On their website they advertise sump pump installations. I called to get a quote. When the technician arrived it was very apparent that they don't normally do sump pump installation. The technician was NOT helpful and was more interested in checking out our furnace setup and selling me a furnace. He had a hard time describing a sump pump basin for me. When the quote came back it was over $4800 (4x higher than the other two quotes we received)! This wasn't even including the pump (I had furnished a pump). It only included cutting a 30 inch hole in the concrete and digging down a couple of feet, putting in a $50 basin, attaching the pump (provided) and then plumbing $30 worth of pvc pipe up 7 feet and out 4-5 feed through the siding. It is at most a couple hundred dollars of materials and is NOT complicated work. This means they quoted me for $4600 of labor. That's 46 hours of work for one plumber billed out at $100/hr. It is at most 4-8 hours worth of work for one person. Technician Barker and PPM would get no stars if it were possible.

Been using these guys for about 5 years. Every time we get Ellery we have an excellent experience! Pricing is very fair. They also have a free air filters for 12 months program which is really cool! When we moved into our new house we had several plumbers come to check out why our hot water wasn't working. One guy said the pressure switches were broken, but it seemed highly expensive to me what he was quoting, so I called PPM. After checking every part of the water heater, Ellery determined that the pressure switches weren't broken at all (saving us $ for that unnecessary repair) and that something was blocking the air vent from the outside - a piece of plastic that had probably blown out of someone's recycling bin. Once that was removed the system functioned perfectly and he charged very reasonably for the time.

We appreciate you all so much. Our old house has from time to time needed repairs and upkeep. It was the bathtub this time. Taps rebuilt (bless him! He had to make a trip to the plumbing supply for fittings cuz we have OLD taps.) and a new faucet. Everything is working great. He was so good at explaining everything before he would proceed, he made sure everything worked before he left and we will call again when we need something. (A special thank you to Lance and our plumber- Colin? Sorry. Not sure I recall his name. He’s a Good one!)

Ryan came at the time the scheduler said he would. He was courteous and professional. I reviewed with him what the concern was with the gas line at the furnace, and he got right to it. He inspected every pipe, every angle, every cranny and found all was well and there was no gas leak. He even checked the water heater at the same time. I recommend Ryan at Parley's PPM without reservation.

We used Parley's to service our old furnace and AC system about a year ago and were very impressed.

This past weekend our furnace and AC systems had a major issue. Parley's came to the rescue. After reviewing our options and we decided the most cost effective solution would be to replace our 15+ year old system. Parley's gave us a extra discount for doing both the furnace and AC at once and we also decided to replace our dying water heater too and got another discount.

From the time we called it only took a couple of hours for a service tech to arrive at our home and 24 hours later he was back with our new HVAC and water heater systems. It took about 10 hours for the new furnace, AC, and water heater to be installed (including problem solving issues that a different/previous heating and air company caused a few years ago.)

Our service technician, Ben Harvey, did a phenomenal job! He was incredibly detail oriented listened to any concerns we had and went far above and beyond to problem solve issues that a previous heating and air company caused years ago by taking shortcuts. Between fixing the other companies issues and coming up with creative solutions to our condo's cramped utility closet, Ben probably spent an extra couple of hours and trip or two to the Home Depot for additional supplies, which we were not charged for. We’re also clean freaks and really appreciated that he used drop clothes and shoe covers and cleaned up after the work was done. Ben was super thorough and we couldn't be happier with the work he did.

I highly recommend Parley's PPM. We plan to use them for all of our future heating, air, and plumbing issues. :-)

Called on a Saturday after breaking a pipe and PPM sent Lee out within a couple of hours. He did a great job fixing things and was a very pleasant guy to have in my home. Parley, the founder of PPM was my neighbor years ago and is a great guy too. I like to support good people who do a good job. Thank PPM and Lee!

I called Parleys this morning to do a sewer line clearing and ultimately replace the sewer, and when I called, the guy asked why I kept calling him and not answering when he called back. I had never contacted (or heard of) this company before—they were recommended by another company that was busy today—and I explained that he must have me confused with someone else. He started yelling at me and saying that he knew it was me and he had some kind of Google recognition or something. I said again that it wasn’t me, and he said again I’d called him multiple times about my furnace?? I said, it’s possible I called you months ago when I had a furnace replaced, but definitely not more than once, and I don’t think even once. And he said no, I’ve called him several times in the past few days about my furnace. He was yelling and upset. I said I didn’t appreciate being yelled at and I wasn’t the person he thought i was and that I was calling about a sewer, not a furnace, and then he hung up on me. Feel like I dodged a bullet on what ended up being a sewer that needed replacing, but it was a pretty discouraging start to an already hard situation of the sewer being backed up.

PPM showed up when expected and had our kitchen drain cleared in short time. The servicemen also checked other drains, water pressure and water heaters. He also offered suggestions for new water heaters and prepared an estimate.
He was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I would recommend PPM for all your plumbing needs.

We had an A/C unit and compressor installed by PPM a few years back. Our home has never cooled down under 80 degrees on the main level during the warmer days (90 degrees and above). We have 3 bedrooms on the upper level so it's a few degrees warmer upstairs. We have had several other a/c companies come out since and do everything they could to cool the house down without getting a new unit and dumping money into the system without having any results.

Update: It's been 11 months since I posted my original review. I was impressed when I looked back and found Jim had responded to my review right after I posted it. Jim found my original work order in the system and listened to my problems we were having in cooling down our home. Jim came out with the manager free of charge and looked over the whole system. Our furnace is the original furnace when the house was built, so it's about 25 years old. Jim and the manager were able to explain how the system works with the furnace and a/c unit and let us know the system is not as efficient with the furnace being as old as it is. I was impressed that Jim and PPM are concerned about their customers satisfaction with their workmanship and technicians. We are looking forward to having PPM back in our home to install a new furnace.
