SOS responded quickly to our service calls prior to us deciding to replace our 15+ yr old AC. We got quotes from 2 other companies and decided to go with their mid-range Trane. The others were a little less expensive but their warranties did not cover labor or refrigerant (not to mention SOS credited some of our repair costs towards the replacement unit). SOS arrived on time and removed and replaced our unit well within the time frame they gave us. Our comfort consultant, Thomas, was very kind, informative and did not use any high pressure sales tactics. Our install crew was courteous, professional and efficient. Our house cooled off very quickly and quietly - we are very pleased. I would highly recommend them.
I was very pleased with the entire experience replacing our HVAC system. My sales rep Mark conducted a thorough inspection of my issues and provided a detailed estimate. He answered all of my questions and did not rush or pressure me. I had bids from 2 other companies and not only was SOS the lowest cost they also addressed a room that never properly cooled by putting in a return vent into that room. I got a quality Trane system and the best warranty as well. I would 100% recommend Mark and SOS Mechanical for HVAC replacement.
The sales, install, post-install followup, and support interactions I had with Alison while replacing our AC 2 years ago remains THE most quality interaction I have had around house updates/repairs in my 15 years as a homeowner.
Alison is everything the home owner needs. Extremely knowledgeable about her product & work, detailed oriented, and delivered straightforward & respectful communication.
As I come off a pandemic filled with home updates I have been continuously frustrated by the passive aggressive attitudes of the owners and leads when I have followup questions.
For the women reading reviews who plan to lead the communication on their home repair: while I have found it the norm to receive posturing and/or minimization of my questions/concerns. This never happened when working with Alison, or any other SOS employee.
I write this review 2 yrs after service because each bad home improvement interaction has left me reflecting on my amazing experience with Alison, and the larger SOS team, and wishing other organizations would provide the same.
We bought a new AC a little over a year ago. SOS came out a year later to trouble shoot a faulty thermostat (not their doing), and the service then and now is excellent. Update from 7/22- AC not connecting (of course in the evening after business hours), repair technician was done by 10 am the next day! It’s calling for 107 today. Such a relief. Fantastic service!
I had to find a new AC company because mine decided to cancel its maintenance service for the year. I called and emailed several but received few responses. SOS not only had a live person answer the phone, she took the time explain their program to me and the pricing structure. I decided to give them a try and they were able to schedule me THE NEXT DAY! Bi got a text saying the tech was on the way and he showed up exactly at the time promised. He spent almost an hour checking the system and found a bad capacitor. He let me know and he actually had the part on the truck! Very courteous, friendly guy who was no nonsense and focused. He fixed the problem, cleaned everything up and let me know how I would be billed. Fantastic experience and highly recommend
Wow! Great service and customer experience. SOS installed a new furnace & a/c unit for our upstairs. The older downstairs a/c was not working so we gave them a call for repair. Fast response and quick repair. Chris the technician quickly diagnosed the problem (capacitor failure) & had it working in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommend giving SOS Mechanical a call for new (Trane) or repairs (any makes).
Excellent service! Allison at the SOS office was very pleasant attending my request for service and Chris, the technician sent to my home arrived promptly and addressed the maintenance of my unit efficiently. There was no pressure or hard selling of unnecessary services, just a polite reminder of what I need to do to keep my A/C unit working fine for a longer time.
Second time using them. AC broke down @4:00 pm, called them and tech showed up in 15 minutes. He was done in 20 minutes. He replaced the motor, which was replaced by them last August. He said it would be under warranty, so I did not need to pay for the parts. I am so impressed with their prompt and professional service. Everything is online, last years bill, service records, etc. Very convenient. I saved their number in my phone and keeping their business card in a safe place. Excellent service, very satisfied!
I contacted SOS Mechanical with the contact form on their site requesting a service call for my air conditioner. I got a response at 8:00 pm (within an hour of my request) and proceeded to set up a service call for the next morning. This was not an emergency but they certainly made it a priority. The technician showed up on time and instantly diagnosed and fixed the problem. We purchased our system from them several years ago and have nothing but positive things to say about this company.
