I purchased a new Trane AC system 10 years ago with them. Installation to after service warranty service was professional and timely with this service oriented company. Thank you Steve , Chris and Allison.At year nine my evap coil developed a leak. They put in refrigerant to keep me cool and they ordered the new part and I got it installed within 5 days without any hassle.A lot of time with warranties you get the run around, but not with this company. Also had a switch to my furnace replaced under warranty and had them replace some duct work a raccoon got into. I just referred them to my neighbor without hesitation.
Sos was prompt, and the technician "Bo" was knowledgable and friendly.i paid 185 for a service fee, which was to be expected as it was the weekend. I was rather disgusted when i was told a simple ignitor ($25 retail cost from the manufacturer next day shipped) would be an additional 250 dollars in addition to the 185 i paid. I have no problem paying labor, or a markup on parts, but a 1000% markup on a part is unethical. I ordered a replacement from payne directly for 25 dollars and change, and will have it tomorrow. 2 minute install (1 screw and a plug) and ill be back in business.
Our ac unit was pumping out hot air! Total panic as it's already in the 90's. Chris came out TWO DAYS earlier than expected - on the very day they were called, when he had an unexpected chance to come. He saw immediately that it was putting out hot air and made the diagnosis from the compressor, the internal unit and the thermostat to be certain. Crossed wires were the culprit (at least of this problem) and he knew it almost immediately and fixed it in a jiffy and voila it's blowing cold! So grateful for Chris, who was sweet, quick, non-judgmental as I live in a messy house, and smart as a whip!
Just want to add something to my review. Chris worked on my downstairs unit. Last night something weird thing happened to my upstairs unit. I had what I thought was Chris' card so called the cell because it was after hours. His manager, Allison answered. She listened though it was after hours, and then asked if I could wait until first thing in the morning or if I'd prefer her to send someone right then last night! I was shocked! The last company I dealt with (the ones who totally messed up the installation on the downstairs unit) wouldn't come out until they had an appointment no matter how many days they made me without heat (in the winter). SOS was ready to send someone that instant! I just recommended SOS to a friend and decided to come back and add to my review. I am so impressed at how good they and how much they care!

SOS stands head and shoulders above any of their competitors by demonstrating my favorite qualities in any business: professionalism, honesty, and responsiveness. They donโt shy away from a challenge, they tell it like it is, and then they show up on time and fix it. Hats off to these guys. Thank you from our whole team and all our furry patients.

The young man who came was polite, showed me my filter was in backward! He said I was low on coolant. I was surprised by how much coolant prices have increased, but what hasn't? Overall positive experience.
I've been using SOS Mechanical for the last few years to maintain my AC. They are always prompt, professional, and friendly. Chris is super knowledgeable and honest. Recently, my AC died and I needed a new unit installed. They were able to keep my home at a comfortable temperature while we waited for the new AC to be installed. The new unit is very high quality and they also cleaned up a lot of duct work, making my system more efficient.
I received quotes for a number of hvac companies. half gave the brand of the machine, but not details so I could not check reviews. The owner came out and explained what I was getting, cost, and addressed my concerns over warranty. Very responsive. The crew showed up exactly on time, installed the hvac system and made sure it worked. The owner came by and checked the work. Helped me program that computerized thermostat. Really really great service. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. So far with this 100+ temps, the AC is working like a champ.
Noticed our a/c had stopped working after 5 PM and they were here and had it working within 2 hours. Bad capacitor. Had an after hours fee but well worth it especially since we are on service plan and costs discounted enough to pretty much cover that. 20 stars! ๐ค
SOS Answered my call at 9:30PM when many others around town would not. Chris was almost immediately en route and replaced the capacitor in less than 2 minutes, possibly a world record speed. Made me think about those chainsaw log cutting competitions -- someone should do an HVAC equivalent. Chris at SOS would probably win. ๐
My ac stopped blowing cold. I called SOS because they came highly recommended. They lived up the the recommendation. The tech was here right on time. It took him about 10 minutes to diagnose the issue. It was covered under warranty so i only had to pay labor which was less than I expected it to be. I will be using them for all our HVAC needs moving forward.
