Professional and Knowledgeable. Completing the service work and taking the time go over the service performed. By far the best technician I’ve seen so far with Clear the Air.

On April 17th, 2023, I reached out to this company for a service and unfortunately, I had to lower my review from a 5 to a 3. From the beginning, I was aware that they were coming out to try to sell me something, which made me cautious. The technician who came to my house did not address the reason I called them for service, but instead tried to sell me a new unit by finding issues with my current one. I informed him that the previous technician had taped up my condenser unit, which I suspected might be leaking, but he did not address my concerns or remedy that specific action.

The technician proceeded to tell me that my units in the attic had black mold, and my outside compressors were 22 years old and likely to go bad at any time. He also claimed that my house should be freezing, but it wasn't. I was wearing a jacket inside the house, which he failed to notice, making me skeptical about the rest of his claims.

His closing statement was to ask if I wanted to pay cash or use credit without giving me a price. As he was leaving, he mentioned that they could include discounts in the prices they were going to send me. This approach left me wondering why he couldn't just give me the price with a discount instead of making it seem like he was doing me a favor.

When I told him that I would shop around for prices and that I had a home warranty, he proceeded to tell me that the warranty would use the cheapest components and units and would not be energy-efficient. I found his claims to be baseless and unsupported.

Although I understand that his job was to sell, this company failed to establish trust before asking for a sale. Their sales pitch was terrible, and they continued to sell and try to close like a company from the 80s. They failed to acknowledge that consumers are more savvy nowadays and that they are dealing with more educated buyers.

As a professional marketing and sales company owner, I can confidently say that this company needs sales and marketing training. The technician did everything wrong in his sales pitch, his actions, his delivery, and his presentation.

Unfortunately, I will be shopping for another company that can come out and gain my trust before trying to push a 22K A/C unit on me.

I first wrote a review giving this company a stellar review. But the after the service leaves a lot to be desired . They did do a great service except my unit upstairs Was leaking air and the tech said he would put tape on it. When I checked a day later, he did not put any tape on it, so I called the next day to have them fix the issue that Thomas said he would fix. They advised me it would be a week before that can come out. Really?! One week to fix a problem that was supposed to be fixed at the time of service?! Some thing like that is neglect and something that should have been addressed immediately! Not only did I purchased a membership that was supposed to give me priority service. And their excuse was we have a lot of members?! Really?! So what's the point!? Thomas oversold something this company cannot stand behind. I will get my attic taped. But I will never use them again. Whatever you do DONOT purchase the warranty or priority service. I feel it is a waste of money. It seems to me that They do not have the manpower to back this membership. So I am canceling it as I was dissatisfied with their answers. I can take that money. Put it in an account and create my own discount. Since then the company has offered a resolution I am giving 5 starts but we will see what the future brings.
