AC working great. But wanted to take advantage of a reasonably priced check and tune up flyer offering. Tech came out, ran diagnostics, and told my wife everything looked good except for the capacitor, that it was going to go out in a week due to the heat and when it does it's going to put extra load on the other capacitors thereby causing a complete unit failure, and will then cost us a $8K price for a new unit! I know electricity, all the way to the component level and even the substrates that make up individual components, including the 1's and 0' of any given circuitry/program as well. This said, even if the technician saw the measured value of the capacitor at its upper expectable range, there's no way a emphatic dire prediction can be made to state a component is definitely going to go bad in a week!? Scare tactics were used on my wife (my opinion) by telling her if we didn't replace the capacitor for $300 that it is going to go bad destroying our entire AC unit! I was at work therefore could not question the technicians results. After turning down replacing the capacitor. We went with another HVAC company. They also tested said bad capacitor, tested good! Albeit it did test towards the upper range. But that technician said he sees that ALL the time with this type/brand of capacitor as it was a cheaper China capacitor. He still replaced it with a more reliable better built capacitor, taking him 20 minutes and charging us only $20 dollars!

There is much much more negative information that I could say, which concerns warranty information along with pricing and labor cost discrepancies but I don't want to waste anymore of my time on writing another novel for people to dredge through, only to find out that this company should be ashamed of themselves for upsaling and trying to strong arm an elderly person into thinking they need to spend hundreds of dollars or their unit will be destroyed!

Mike came on time, was efficient and polite. All of the Hobson Comfort One Experts who have worked with us for 12 years have been great. They have replaced all 3 of our AC systems and maintain them as well.

AC was not cooling. Called. Said $49 for diagnosis trip and asked for CC on phone (which I gave). Sent someone out that day who said system needed 8 lb of coolant and cost of same would be an additional over $3,000 (system takes R-410A which they said had gone up in price). I declined as that seemed excessive. Called another company next day who came, diagnosed same issue, added 5-6 lb of coolant (said didn't need 8), and charged $460 total. System now works normally. I would NEVER use this company again.

The tech was extremely friendly. All digital experience with payment, etc. I will use this company again.
