John Moore has a great reputation and after having them install a new AC, I can see why. Great product. Professional. Always felt like they had my best interest in mind.

Another update to help you determine if you want to use John Moore Services.
I wish I had done this research before using them for air duct cleaning, but for other people that have not chosen to use this company yet, the past legal issues may paint a picture of their customer care culture. What follows is an excerpt from a lawsuit between John Moore Services and the Houston Better Business Bureau which basically describes that John Moore used to have good standing in the BBB but when it got too many complaints, the company quit being a member of the BBB so that it would show up as Not rated instead of the apparently bad rating that it had. It looks like they have moved their headquarters back to Houston but have decided to not be a member of the BBB any more.

“John Moore is in the business of providing home repair and maintenance services, such as air conditioner repair, pest control, and plumbing. Before December 2010, John Moore was an accredited business with the Houston Better Business Bureau, and it had received an "A+" rating on the Bureau's website. From 2003 to 2010, John Moore received the Bureau's "Award of Excellence," which the company displayed on its advertising materials. John Moore's president, Don Valentine, served as Chairman of the Houston [**3] Bureau from 2007 to 2008. In late 2010, however, John Moore resigned from the Houston Bureau, complaining about the methodology it used to determine its business ratings. The resignation coincided with the Houston Bureau's decision to revoke John Moore's accreditation in response to numerous consumer complaints. John Moore then informed the Houston Bureau that it moved its business headquarters to the Bryan-College Station area. Because the move of headquarters meant that the Houston Bureau no longer considered John Moore an area business, it changed its letter grade for the company to "NR" for "not rated."”

Update: Just realized that they claim the duct cleaners are licensed. However, at least on the guys that came out did not have a license.

Used them for air duct cleaning after I had positive AC experience with them. However, even though the workers were very nice, it appeared I got the intern team. The website mentioned they use an endoscope to basically make sure they did not miss any areas. When I showed that to the tech, he had not idea what I was talking about (he didn't even know what an endoscope was). The use of a camera was the main reason I wanted to use them. There were some other issues - did not clean everything up, came at wrong time, put the wrong registers on the vents, etc... The main thing that disappoints me is that they are faster then a fighter jet to schedule service that you pay for, but when it comes to trying to get response from them to "do the right thing" - all you hear is crickets.

JD at John Moore was very trustworthy and knowledgeable. I was very comfortable. The work did not take him a long at all, as I left to run an errand. And the work is performing as expected.

I requested John Moore for an estimate. Troy was on time and very knowledgeable regarding the issue I have with the plumbing leak in/around my foundation. He gave me three options/estimates and advised of payment plans. I have not used this business as I am still going thru estimates. However; Troy did seem the most knowledgeable of them all.

My A/C unit stopped working. It needed to be completely replaced. Al"s team (Mike Jankoski and Thomas) replaced the unit in a timely manner. They kept their work area neat and cleaned up before leaving. My dog followed them around supervising. There was a small issue with two vents. The team returned and fixed the issue. I am pleased withe the results.

Plumber came in, provided quote we were satisfied with and did the job within an hour. We didn't realize John Moore did more :) than just plumbing and he recommended the exterminator service as well. Agan Very satisfied overall!

Angel provided great service. He solved the problem that two other plumbers did not solve. He also took the time and explained the problem, and how it was resolved. We will definitely request him if we need a plumber.

I found this company on the radio station KSBJ business listings and gave them a try because of their commitment to Godly media. Not only were they responsive and professional, but they did exactly what they said they were going to do and quickly fixed our problem. I find good service from businesses to be a rarity these days and it is great to know that companies like this still exist. What’s great is that they pretty much can take care of absolutely anything that can, and does go wrong as a homeowner! I plan on using them for all of our home maintenance and repair needs.

Jeron Greene was very thorough and professional. He answered all of our questions about any concerns we had, and made sure our AC is ready for Summer! All done with a smile! We couldn’t be happier with our service. Highly recommend!

I finally decided that maybe I couldn't do the job myself but after Nicholas Gil from John Moore came I realized I could have probably done it but dealing with plumbing issues it's never been my forte. Nicholas is very thorough on how it was going to be repaired and make sure that after the repair there was absolutely no leaks. The valves underneath the sink need to be replaced but we'll leave that for another day I thought the cost was a little high but then again everything is expensive with this administration in office.
