Manuel performed our annual plumbing inspection. He was extremely thorough, courteous and checked every faucet, toilet, sink, pipes, etc. in and outside our house. He would update us when each category was completed. He was very professional and gave us some advice on items we may want to consider in the future to help keep us from having problems. You can send him anytime!!!

Worst company I’ve ever hired. I got their value plan with all around service and maintenance. Every time they visit, they leave issues behind. They break equipment and tell you that you’ll have to pay them for the repair. They over charge. You get very little benefit from their value plan or whatever the official title is.

Example 1 - plumbing
Saw the problem, said they couldn’t fix it, I suggested a solution and suddenly they figured out the solution. I received a heavy charge (with the discount and coupon) for them removing a plug from my garbage disposal.

Example 2 - water heater
I asked them to do annual maintenance. The tech breaks it somehow and tells me that it’s broke and the water would no longer heat. I argued with him over the phone and suddenly it started working again. I called another tech to confirm if there was any issue. The tech from another company told me that it wasn’t an urgent issue and could wait a long time before being fixed. The alternative company also replaced the system months later for a fraction of the cost.

Example 3 - AC
System fan was having issues. Abacus told me that with my discount, I would pay 199 for them to diagnose (excluding trip charge). This does not include any repairs. I worked for a major HVAC manufacturer and know that this price is on the high end. No thanks

Conclusion: I ended my membership and will not be requesting any further services from them.

Thank you immensely Jonathan for coming and fixing my outside pipe! What I thought was going to be an easy fix turned out to be a little more. Jonathan was very good at explaining my options and answering any questions I had! He did an amazing job fixing everything and gave me a recommendation on another repair I needed. I’d request him again for any future repairs.

Because I am a member of Abacus' Loyalty Program, I was able to get a technician out to my house first thing in the morning. This was after I had called into their office about having no hot water at about 7:00am. To me, that makes it worthwhile to pay for their membership.
Phillip explained why I was having the problem of no hot water and took the time not only to show me how to reset the water heater, but he also wrote down the steps in case I would forget in the future. This problem was due to a lack of oxygen to keep the pilot light lit. My heater is stuck in a corner of my utility room and often I keep the door closed. There are no air vents, so he suggested getting a small fan.
I appreciated his professionalism and his willingness to take time with me as I practiced relighting the pilot light.

Had them come out and re-light my pilot light for my hot water heater. They claimed that they were unable to re-light it and declared it was time to replace it. Quoted me $4,000 for their high end hot water heater and did not offer to diagnose and fix the the problem. Did not have the courtesy to close up the unit, turn off the attic light and close the attic door when before they left. I have a bad knee and had to struggle to climb up into the attic to close it up. Not ever going to call them again....

UPDATE: Called another plumber and he was able to relight the pilot light after 10 minutes of diagnosing the problem (air in the gas line). Very disappointed that Abacus couldn't figure this out...

Very happy with performance. They rerouted an air conditioning drain line from both units to an outside location, replaced a kitchen faucet and replaced a cartridge in master bath tub water valve. While the work performed is rather expensive, I always know that the quality is great and backed by the Abacus warranty.

Update: The field guys are awesome. Eddy and Christian were great and explained all my questions. But the office and scheduling side of things needs a lot of work. Poor communication and customer service.

They never showed up. They called once 3 hours after they were supposed to come and when I tried to give them a call back within 10 minutes they wouldn't take my call. Now they are saying they can't have anyone out for another 2+ weeks.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!!!!
Signed up for their Maintenace program, when I called about servicing my AC unit. Was charged $ 89.00 was told that included 2 maintenance visits per year, if service was needed, I would also receive preferred scheduling and a 20% discount off all parts. Gave them my CC was charged 5/31/23 for service then was told the earliest, they could get me in was 6/28/23. I indicated was that best they could do, to which they said yes. Last week Thursday 6/22/23 got a txt saying that due to overwhelming service calls they were suspending all maintenace calls until further notice. Called the company expressing my dissatisfaction with them and the way they are doing business!!! They are scheduled to come out and look at my AC unit next Friday 6/30/23 as it was not cooling.

Replaced electrical panel one day. Great job. Installed new drain line in back of house from washing machine. Trenched back yard to lay new pipe and tie into the main. Cut and replaced concrete patio. They forgot to install a new dryer vent hole in wall as they used the existing vent hole for the new drain piping. Saul Flores came out on Friday afternoon. Did a great job. Apologized for the oversight. He went above and beyond. He also reconnected the dryer and made sure all gas line connections were good. Highly recommend Saul to anyone. Great personality and friendly.
