Abacus plumbing did an outstanding job for me. Our plumber, Dan, was friendly and professional. He arrived right on time and completed the work in a timely manner. I'm very satisfied with Abacus Plumbing.

We have a 20+yr old set of two HVAC units that sometimes leaks its drip pan, but we just installed new ducts and insulation. We were previously using a company to do the regular maintenance check ups and blow the drains twice a year for $95 each visit. We decided to try Abacus as it gives the appearance of a quality large company. I called about tune-ups and was convinced by the person on the phone to purchase the membership for both HVAC and plumbing - she led me to believe it included what I previously was paying $95 for (routine checks and drain blow), but when asked later and the plan only covered the trip charge, effectively, and did not cover the blowing of drains, if needed. Your membership is prepaying a trip charge for a person to come.

We bought the plumbing version of the same (membership) thinking that our old pipes could have issues worth checking, and also the kitchen sink water pressure was low and maybe they'd get it back to par. We figured tightening or getting a fixture back to proper working condition was included - but nope. The gentleman that arrived made a list of things to offer as services / charge us for without fixing or adjusting anything - so, your membership is effectively paying for Abacus to prepare bids for you. The tech also did not communicate well or understand my asks, merely going about his checklist of pictures / notes. Impersonal. Here's a list and an estimate for us to do some stuff.

This company is a capitalistic vulture and has anti-consumer business practices. The technicians are incentivized to sell, something that I was reminded of frequently in my interactions. I reached the last straw when this morning I wanted to reschedule our HVAC check and was told they are scheduling for late July (6 weeks out and 60% of worst heat is behind us) - then, when I said 'nevermind then just cancel', the agent told me she couldn't do cancellations and wanted to put me on hold (to be clear, she could move/ reschedule or schedule, but not cancel). Well then, forget it! I hung up on them, e-mailed the corporate account to cancel the appointment, and spent that time instead writing this review to help out others. Thanks for nothing Abacus - we truly got zero value from your membership plan and felt bad about every interaction we've had with someone on staff except for the first salesperson who was very rosy and oversold. I've e-mailed our previous HVAC company and will pay the $100 for them to do it.

I'm not sure who this company is suited for but it isn't us.

Mark was very professional and fixed our leak quickly and explained how a "Sprinkler System Backflow Device" works in an easy way to understand. My wife and I are very happy. Thanks Mark for a job well done. Excellent professionalism too!

Jose came out to inspect some damage that AT&T made. He was extremely knowledgeable and approachable. I appreciated all of the insight that he gave me regarding my electrical panel and recommendations on what to do. Overall satisfied with the service, knowledge and interaction that Jose provided. I would consider using Abacus again because of him.

Mr Andreas was very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and very clear about all repairs. Everything was explained in detail which made us very comfortable going with his company. Once the job was complete he thanked us for our business and assured us that they would be available to answer any questions and guaranteed all repairs and workmanship.

Had issues with electrical to septic, we were getting nowhere calling electricians. Called Abacus and received prompt service.
Jose Ruiz came out and diagnosed the issue. We had other work that ended up needing to be done. Jose explained everything very well. Electrical work is expensive, yet we feel we received fair value with excellent communication through the process.
We will call Josie for all electrical work needed at our house. Heck, he even gave me his work cell number!

Electrical wiring was added to the house. Jeremiah and Ruben worked together seamlessly. They were personable, knowledgeable, professional, and did not hesitate to listen to my vision of what I wanted accomplished. We openly discussed what I wanted to accomplish and they provided me with viable options. I enjoyed their camaraderie and banter.

I phoned this company after locating a leak. I was informed that it was due to the shower overflowing out of the bathtub. I was charged $400 for this “finding” It took the guy less than 15 minutes to come to this conclusion, in fact he spent more time untucking his shirt and re-tucking his shirt. I was not confident in this service guy findings, and lo and behold we continue to have the same issue even though we are cautious and mindful when running the shower/bath. They will also refer you to a money gauging emergency water service called Bionic. Steer clear. These companies have no moral compass and they charge an arm and a leg.

Jonathan did an excellent job detailing what needed to be done and contacting other parties involved for pricing. Couldn't get service started, but will be calling again once I can cover the expenses.

The technician, Mr. Ortega, was very knowledgeable and addressed all of concerns. The two installers, Yanier and Guillermo, were very thorough, paying close attention to details and answering all questions. Based on my experience with the services today, I won’t hesitate to recommend Abacus to others.
