I’d give service 5 stars and scheduling 3, so 4 stars overall! The guys that come out are excited and passionate about their jobs. Scheduling was difficult in the summer, likely due to high demand in Texas heat/shortage of staff/supply chain issues, but have had zero problems otherwise. So far they’ve held to fixing everything covered in the warranty without a question.

We hired this company about 3 months back for a/c Installation. The experience has been horrible.
1st. they guaranteed a price and when we agreed to take them on, they increased the cost. The agent said she had overlooked an item.
2. They had issues on installing one of our units. The tech suggested problem was a thermostat. He replaced it with one he said was Wi-Fi enabled. It was not. I called and a manager argued with me it was until I asked him to walk me through how to make it work. He stated “I am not a tech" I had to show him the thermostat on the target website and show him it was not. Though this was replaced with a Wi-Fi enabled one, I was taken aback by this managers assumption of my ignorance as well as his considering their business is temperature regulation.
3. The unit, a trane did not work. It was very humid upstairs. The tech they sent said it was our fault as we kept the bedroom doors closed.
The unit we replace was much older and supposedly less efficient but never had a similar problems. The tech’s solution was to lower the temp in our house until it felt like winter indoors. They sent in a different tech who diagnosed the thermostat for the unit upstairs was to blame and changed it. He also was suggesting that the failure in cooling was because we did not have a large enough vent. As stated, the a/c system in the house was installed in 1995 had been working well with the vent size we had.
Marlon though is the one person in this organization I can report no problems with. He, however did promise to return and replace the thermostat on this unit with a Wi-Fi enabled one. A service manager reported he would make this happen. This has not happened to this day many months later.
4. Our system which is now about 3 months old broke again 2 weeks back. We called and they reported they needed to replace a defective part.
Note the unit is brand new and 3 months old. The tech reported they had to order the part and it would take 3 days. I asked to speak with the manager and he was laughing about the matter and blaming covid 19 for delays. I had to tell him over the phone that this was no laughing matter. My wife called them after the 3 days and was promised a manager would call us back but none did.
The 3 days became 10 days. When we called about day 7 we, were told the part was ordered and awaiting a tech to install it. It had been sitting there for 3 days per the person we spoke to.
The tech who came to install it reported that he was not made aware the part has there and that they had cancellations and would have gladly come in to replace the part. According to them, the company focuses on new installations and not on the repair of the faulty units they install.
I agree with his on this part as they seemed very prompt before we paid them for the job but after they had received the money, it was “ appropriate” for them sit on a part for more than 3 days while a family in Houston was enduring 80+ temp with humidity .
In summary, this company has a good sales pitch, they are dishonest as noted above and care about their clients’ money and not their plight. Marlon and Beatrix are good reps for this company.
I decided to write this review especially due to the manager laughing over the phone and I had expressed to him the temp upstairs was in the 80s and humid. In my 43 years, I have never felt such disdain for another human’s plight. I feel others should know what to expect from them.

They were so amazing! Easiest repair we’ve ever had

Revised: Emailed my information and still no reply. I even called and was told it was escalated. Same tune I've heard before which is why I left. No accountability.Just give me my prorated refund, because you have failed to provide adequate service. Every review as of recent reflects that. Your reply is not genuine and you are only trying to recoup the bad reviews. However only good service and a better sense of understanding for your customers that pay you their hard earned money can do that. Also don't cancel your policy if you have files claims as they will not prorated you and will say your refund exceed the claims. Lesson learned!

Faulty Home Warranty, they are actually a limited service repair company. Long waits for repairs or if you want someone contracted to come faster, they charge you anywhere from an extra $75.00 to $275.00 in addition to your service fee and any repairs they don't cover(yes you read that right). I've had individuals contracted with them come to my home and damage my toilet during a plumbing stoppage. After attempts were made to fix the issue on more than one service call, my master bedroom was damaged. So I ask for another company to help and that tech broke my fence and denied it in which I have yet to hear from Fixd about the repair to my fence. I then decided to cancel my service as the year I paid had not termed yet, but was told I may not get a refund because they have to deduct the cost of any repairs done. So you can come to your own conclusion, but thought I'd help the next person from making my same mistake.

This is quite possibly the worst company I have ever worked with... scratch that. This is THE worst company I have ever worked with. I am exhausted to the point where I can't even begin to explain the fraudulence, abuse of contract, pitiful customer service, negligence, lack of professionalism and intentional avoidance this company shows but I will write a brief explanation to possibly prevent another innocent customer from the pai:. I have been denied services under contract, charged for services that I never received, purposely not notified on canceled appointments (and charged), 0/12 on getting refunded for charges for services not received. I have asked over 20 times to get in touch with a manager and been brushed to the side. I have spent weeks on hold, thousands of dollars on repairs due to their negligence, countless emails and phone calls to higher ups with no response. I have even sent direct emails to decision makers at this business which have been ignored. If you are a lawyer, and are reading this, please reach out as I have concrete evidence and proof that this company is acting unlawfully and extraordinarily unethically. This is my first bad review ever, and it is well deserved. This company was supposed to help me save money when things go wrong, as that is what I paid them for. Instead, they have costed me more money than I could ever imagine and set a new standard for the worst company I could have ever imagined working with. It is sad to see.

Donnie came out & took care of us promptly w/ such a professional & kind attitude. With his expertise, he went above & beyond to assure our issue was handled properly. We really appreciated his extra advice & saving us some extra money to help prevent future problems, which no one wants when it comes to their HVAC. He was such a blessing to us & we would definitely recommend his service! Thanks again Donnie! God bless you!

I have to edit my below, original review because less than 3 months after the repair was done, the same leak in my fridge was back. I called Fixd about it, assuming that that job was still covered under some type of warranty and they said because it was outside of 30 days, it was not. Additionally, it is no longer covered under my warranty plan. So not only did I wait longer for the part to come in than that part actually lasted, Fixd wants to charge me full retail price for someone to come out and assess and fix an issue that originated six months ago and apparently was never fixed correctly. Although Fixd has good service representatives and communication, I would not recommend them because of how long my job took and the quality of the part/repair that was done.

Original review:
Fixd was great in repairing my fridge. I give them 4 stars because it took over 3 months for the part required to fully fix the fridge. I’m not sure if Fixd could have done anything to shorten that time or not but maybe they could source parts from other places if there is a back up with their supplier. They were very communicative and responsive during those 3 months though and had someone out the day after the part arrived. I was very happy with those aspects.

Their app just displays their phone number, expect at least a 15 - 45 minute hold wait until you can speak to a live person. After they send 7-8 emails in a 10 minute time span with the final saying find your own repairman, submit all receipts, and we will decide if it's covered. So far the garbage disposal, the kitchen faucet, the water softener, and the pool booster pump (which was repaired by them previously but not correctly) have not been covered. SAVE YOUR MONEY, THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT!

I have used Fixd home warranty for a couple of years now and since being bought out, the service is very poor. You get to schedule a time that fits your schedule for a repair and they change it without notice or asking you if that fits. They’ve done this a few times now.

If you know what the issue is and tell them, it doesn’t matter. I knew the heating element was out on my dryer and the tech made 4 trips over a couple of months to replace small parts and tighten electrical wires and it was never fixed. He finally said it’s the heating element and ordered it but took 2 months to get it and come install it. Exactly what I told him in the beginning.

Between lack of knowledge techs and rescheduling your appointment without your knowledge, stay clear of these guys. It’s awful. I’m moving to a new warranty company.

I have had Fix’d for almost 4 years. The first few years was great, you could schedule repairs through the app. If you had something that was not covered under warranty you paid the $50.00 deductible and you could negotiate a special rate with their vendor. A lot has changed, as you can no longer book through the app and must call a customer service line where language barrier is an issue. I requested an HVAC repair man and they sent an electrician who refused to touch the unit.

I called and had to argue with 3 people to get it sorted out and get my deductible refunded. Then I had to call an AC technician on my own and get them to come out because what I needed was not covered under warranty and they claim to no longer have negotiated special rates with vendors (even though it’s on the site). I pay for my warranty annually and I won’t renew it next year. I used to have positive things to say about fix’d and several of my friends had switched warranty companies. I will never recommend them again. I’m only giving 2 stars because they were quick to respond and give me my refund.
