I recently selected South Nashville Heating and Cooling to replace our 20+ year old furnace/air conditioning split system. I first did a bunch of research on HVAC systems to understand the pros and cons of the various manufacturers. I also educated myself on the basics of load calculations and the CFM ratings of round and square ducting since we had uneven airflow, cold spots and a pressure imbalance causing air to flow down into the basement. After I educated myself a bit, we got a couple of proposals. Our first two proposals were simply not credible; lots of upselling, neither of them addressed airflow concerns. After that, we chose three additional companies for proposals based on referrals from friends and online reviews. Only two of the HVAC companies we engaged mentioned insufficient return air. Zack Wolf of South Nashville was the only one to spot it immediately when he looked at our furnace. He measured duct size, checked CFM ratings and said, "I hope I'm not the only one to tell you don't have enough return air". South Nashville's proposal was priced fairly and what they were saying made sense, so we hired them to replace our system. We are so glad we did. There were no surprises when they installed our system. Zack found an even better way to boost our return air eliminating the need to make holes in drywall. The quality of their workmanship is excellent. We now have more even airflow throughout the house and no more air flowing down the basement stairwell. If you need a new HVAC system, I highly recommend that you educate yourself, get 5 proposals and make sure South Nashville Heating and Cooling is one of the companies you engage. Spend twice as much time selecting your HVAC company as you do selecting the manufacturer of your new furnace/aircon equipment.
Have used them for many years- 15 at this house(and before at another)- if you have an emergency they come!- even at night- always polite and professional- knowledgeable- (masked)- able to address multiple systems/ I have 2 H and A’s- and a tankless hot water heater- they call to make the seasonal appointments so I don’t need to remember to call them- what more can I say? I started with Phil- the owner and lately have had Colin- wonderful service- I highly recommend them.
I can not be more pleased with the service from South Nashville Heating and Cooling. Zach was amazing and Kathy was very friendly! I would give 10 stars ⭐️ if I could! Highly recommend.
I have them at my home 5 timed within a 2 month period. Never one time did they suggest that I needed to replace parts to my furnace. They always suggest let's work with you got. Then if replacing parts does not work then we will go from there. I find that the staff is very friendly and helpful from the office to the repairman. He even helped me change the battery in my alarm. You can not go wrong using this company
Dillon was very professional and friendly. Fixed our problem and triple checked to make sure it was exact. Kathy at the office is very friendly and professional, as well. We were told a time and that’s when he arrived. Kathy called us to let us know exactly when he would arrive. Will be using this company from now on.
Our unit went out in June and within 3 days, the team was out to install our new unit. Since then, we have had no complaints and we're already seeing the savings 3 months later. This company went above and beyond with their customer service. We received 2 other quotes from major companies in the area, and South Nashville Heating & Air was the best value. If you're looking for quality, value and peace of mind, I would recommend working with them.
I chose South Nashville Heating and Cooling for a new HVAC unit and install. Great customer service, pricing and installation. Techs did a great job installing and answered all my questions. No overpriceing or lip service - Straight shooters. Had several estimates from other businesses , all were overpriced. Highly recommend for your Heating and cooling needs and will continue to use them in the future.
Kathy and Jason always take great care of us. They get us on the schedule quickly and I can count on them for quality service at a fair price. We have a traditional central air unit and mini splits upstairs. Some HVAC companies don’t have a clue about minis. These guys are pros, and I feel confident having them service ours.
Our experience with Phillip and his team was excellent from start to finish. They are the 4th HVAC group we've engaged in the last 30 years and we wish we had met them earlier. As I tell my friends, they are the most thorough HVAC company we have ever had in our house and they will point you to the right solution for your home.
Kathy (sp?), who answers the phone, is always nice, courteous, and helpful. And today she had to have been slammed and was still nice and answered a few questions that I had. They fit us into the schedule and diagnosed the problem which will be fixed shortly. Great company!
