Shavon came out to give us an estimate on a new heat pump system. She was very knowledgeable and was able to thoroughly answer my questions. All around, a great experience

John and Kaimana did an awesome job installing my new air conditioning and explaining the process to me. They were professional, knowledgeable, punctual and helpful. It was a long day with some extra services they needed to install with my particular existing furnace but they worked hard until the end, making sure it was all in great working order. I recommend Sunset as they were very communicative and professional every step of the way. Loved the extra step of sending photos and personal background details of the employees coming to do the work!

My 18 year old AC broke down and I had Eric come out and check it out and give me a quote to replace both the AC and the Furnace. (They are Daikin/Goodman distributor) He was professional and gave me the information I needed to make my decision. He was not pushy and he told me when he can start. I had about 5 others come out to give me a quote but none of them were able to give me a specific start date because weather was getting hotter and hotter and my furnace and the AC coils are in the attic. He came out on Monday, gave me the quote and told me he could get a crew in on Thursday to start if needed. I was concerned about the hot weather and the crew working in the attic and he said they will send enough guys so they can rotate the crew. He also gave me a few options on the choices.

I pulled the trigger Wednesday morning and they still got a crew in on Thursday morning. It took a couple days to finish. And so much respect for John, Kaimana, Sedderick (and another guy was there on Thursday) because it was probably 120-130 degrees up in that attic but they got most of the hard work completed. They had work in the attic on both days and they cleaned up the areas on both days after they were done. Kept me posted throughout the project on the progress. To be honest I don't have any complaints. AC is working great, but since I got the AC fixed we have had a bit colder weather so I will wait a couple more weeks to see how it keeps up with the hot weather.

My AC died the day before the 4th of July. After 6pm so waited till next day to search for help. Sunset was my 2nd call and Sam came out and did a great job finding the problem. Had to wait till July 5th to get a couple more estimates from other companies. 2 week wait for scheduling so went ahead with Sunset and they came out on the 6th and completed removing all existing equipment and in stalling all new equipment. Electrician came next morning to complete the project. I was very impressed with the attention to detail and the professionalism of each member. Jace and Andrew the installers and AJ the electrician. The price is a little higher but the quality of work is the best I've ever seen. I couldn't be happier with the job they all did. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Had an appointment on prior Tuesday for arrival between 1200 & 1700. Called at 1200 to get more accurate time, requesting later in window. She said she'd have tech call me. By 1630, I'd gotten no calls & called again. She contacted tech--they weren't going to make it & had rescheduled me for Wednesday without consulting me! I said I had prior appointments & was scheduled for Thursday. I asked why I was never called, she said they were busy & "didn't have time."(excuse making) She also said the tech "couldn't find my address." (more excuse making) I again asked why the tech didn't call or Google my address. The implication was that I'd given wrong address (blame customer). She said the tech was "too busy to Google or call". Really? Upon confirming address, they did correct address. I told person that this,was excuse making & incredibly poor service.
NOLAN was the polar opposite. On time, pleasant, apologized for prior problem, great service, very communicative with lots of great advice. Totally changed my opinion about Sunset that I'd developed on Tuesday.

I tried to see the more options for what you guys did for me. But I’ll put in this comment. You did an amazing job cleaning the ducts and getting me a new hvac system! Install team was amazing! Kudos to them. THE only thing I would say was an issue was your scheduler. They need a little bit more training on communicating. It was a bit of hassle trying to get scheduled w/crane and trying to get a hold of said person was also a problem. Still 5 stars though because the real champs are the installers and cleaners!

Sunset installed a mini split in our ADU. The turnaround time was incredible. We agreed to the work on a Friday and the installation was done the following Monday. Our point of contact, Rolf, was knowledgeable and thorough in a way the other companies we talked with weren’t AND he offered to remove the furnace we were replacing for free. So why three stars? The installation crew tracked dirt everywhere inside the place, including on our fairly expensive rug. Maybe they thought it wasn’t an issue because the floor is concrete, but it took a couple of unpleasant hours for me to clean up after them.

Installed a 3-zone Mini-Split! Exceptionally professional crew came through and completed the job quickly. Units work like a charm. I felt they were a fair price for the quality, especially after getting a few other quotes.

Unfortunately it was the end of our HVACs life. Our HVAC was less common, a large duel unit that left limited options for a replacement. Pretty quickly we discovered replacing this particular unit would be a special case.

Our experience with other companies consisted of chasing down bids where we were told to expect a quote within day or two followed by having to check back sometimes a week later and often times crickets.

However, our experience working with a Sunset technician for replacing the unit was top notch. We were given a quote very quickly along with all the details needed to make an informed decision to move forward with confidence. Dynamite service!

Experience with installation crew was also wonderful. Excellent team and services! I could not recommend enough.
