This was a great professional experience. When I called they was so kind and worked to fit me into the schedule the same day I called. They were personable, professional and thoroughly explained each step of the process. Estimates were given before anything was done, and cost of service was reasonable. Overall I am very happy and look forward to calling them for maintenance services going forward.
Meredith did a very thorough job on the maintenance and explaining her process and what additional work needed to be done. Thank you so much. PS So glad to see a young woman taking on this type of work. She was awesome.
They Did not show up on time, did not communicate with us at all. After finally showing up many hours late they did not have the equipment needed to perform the repair, this being a ladder to get on the roof. They said they would be back the next day and then called the next day and said they were not able to complete the repair and left us hanging.
We have used Heat Relief many times, for furnace, install of ductless heat system and maintenance of our freestanding gas fireplace. So, when our fireplace needed repair, I called them first. The repair person explained thoroughly why he could not replace the part we needed. He said he had never seen our model of Regency Hampton fireplace (about 8 years old). It should have been explained to me, on the phone, when I called for service, that they don't service certain models. I'm not happy having paid for a service call when literally no work was performed. $159 for sorry can't help you, is a lot. I have been happy with all their services in the past, and they have much to recommend them, but if you have a fireplace that needs service, ask a lot of questions if you need repairs. EDIT OF MY REVIEW: Owner Mark was immediately responsive to my dissatisfaction and agreed to refund my money in this circumstance. We will continue to support this business, and call them in the future. Thanks, Mark!
We had a fault in our HP system and Heat Relief was quick in response with both troubleshooting over the phone to save us from the burden of a home visit, but then did a follow up visit when more diagnosis was needed. All of that done in less than three hours from initial call!
Honest appraisal of our malfunctioning furnace, Mike quickly figured out what was wrong, fixed it, answered all my questions, placed the filter where it would be much easier for me to change it out, and made some helpful recommendations (heat tape so the outlet pipe would be less likely to freeze, and shorten the outlet pipe on the outside of the house).
We decided to replace our aging ducted heat pump system with a whole-home Mitsubishi ductless setup as a part of a basement remodel. The full project involved a total of 7 indoor heads, 2 branch boxes, and 2 full-size 36 kBTU H2i outdoor units. After soliciting approximately 8 bids for the job, we decided to go with Heat Relief, and couldn't be happier with the results!
As this project was replacing ducted central air throughout the whole home, the installation process was rather complicated. Locations requiring indoor heads were not situated on exterior walls, which makes installing ductless systems much more difficult. Further, for aesthetic reasons, we wanted all of the linesets to be hidden within finished walls and ceilings. The team at Heat Relief was able to take all of this into account and come up with a proposal that met every one of our construction requirements - this was the ultimate deciding factor in our choice to go with them.
I first met with one of their sales representatives, John, to get an initial system design and quote. Having done extensive research on Mitsubishi ductless systems, I already had decent general knowledge of the overall equipment features and options. John immediately picked up on this, did not waste my time with unnecessary sales pitches, and immediately got to designing a system that fit my needs. They are a certified Diamond installer through Mitsubishi, so an installed system comes with a 12 year warranty.
The initial estimate I received was extremely competitive, and I actually ended up upgrading a few portions of the project - the final proposal ended up being - by far - the best value per dollar when compared to the competition. The overall system is designed to have approximately double the cooling capacity of our old system in the summer, equivalent to a 6 ton AC. In the winter, the system can provide as much heat as the 15 kW backup electric heat strip in the furnace it replaced down to -13 F (which is more than 10 degrees colder than the worst-case cold for this area in recorded history).
Due to the complexity of the install in our case, John wanted to ensure that everything would go smoothly; therefore, he actually arranged a secondary walkthrough with two of their lead system designers: Don and Mark (who I believe is the owner of the company). The three of them met with us, discussed various portions of the install procedure in detail, and answered all outstanding questions.
Installation was completed over a total of 6 days, split into two phases at our request. The first phase included the system for one floor, followed by the second phase for the remaining floor a few weeks later. This gave us an opportunity to remove the old central indoor and outdoor units (which they recycled for us) along with the old ductwork. Their 3 installers, Isa, Adrian, and lead installer Steve, took excellent care of my home throughout the process. They were well-informed of all the various design requirements beforehand and the install went flawlessly - a big thanks to Steve and his team for their hard work!
The solution we now have is far more powerful than what it replaced - while using substantially less energy - and we couldn't be happier with the results! If you are looking for an installer that really understands HVAC and goes the extra mile to achieve a perfect result, go with Heat Relief!
The person who took my scheduling call was super nice and clearly communicated what I should expect. The repair tech arrived on time, was organized and explained clearly what was going on with my system. When I was dubious that the problem he was describing was the cause, he took the extra time to prove his theory rather than blowing me off. I have used this company multiple times, and they’re the best in the biz, in my book. When it comes time to replace my aging system, I’ll be using them.
