Derek made my high efficiency gas furnace run like new! He was thorough and explained problems clearly. We scheduled a second visit to remove and clean the circulation fan and the heater is much quieter now and will hopefully last longer. Excellent service!

I purchased a 20 year old home 11 months ago and have used Home Heating and Cooling to assess, clean, service, and repair the HVAC system. Every service call from them has been excellent. Communication is great, they’re punctual, and careful in the home when working. They have provided assessments of the condition of the system and recommended repairs. Given the age of the HVAC system, I have appreciated discussions with the service techs about service that would be beneficial in the short term vs longer term deferrals vs waiting until it’s time for a full replacement. Derek has been my service tech on most visits. He’s great if you get a chance to work with him. Their receptionist/scheduler, Diane, also is fantastic to work with.

Derek was on time, professional and timely with maintenance and repair. We own an auto shop and he was very mindful of the space he was in and what we needed him to do. Also, very knowledgeable about the entire system we had.

Johnathon did an outstanding job. Found a problem developing on our AC unit, explained the importance of the part to the operation of the unit which allowed us to replace it before it failed. Tested system while explaining what the tests indicated and was happy with the results. Glad to have a veteran helping another veteran. Great job.

Jonathan is fantastic. He is prompt, informative and professional. During an annual service he did a thorough evaluation of our heating system and identified a problem that needed attention. He took the time to fully explain the need for the repair and gave us a detailed estimate. More recently he completed our annual AC inspection and service. UPDATE FROM THE NEXT DAY: Another HVAC guy came out and fixed the issue in 15 minutes for only $95. All he did was clean something out. The part that Home Heating & Cooling wanted to sell me for $750 didn't even need to be replaced! $95 and fixed in 15 minutes vs $900!

Avoid. Horrible price gouging.

They wanted to charge $750 for a pressure switch on my furnace. On top of the $150 they charged just to come look at it.

That's right, $900 total for a pressure switch. This is a $25 part that I could install myself in 5 minutes.

I declined the repair and called another local HVAC guy. Told him that somebody wanted to charge me $750 for a pressure switch and he immediately guessed it was Home Heating & Cooling. He said they do this all the time, and they're the only ones who would try to charge so much.

Since I couldn't find the part locally on a Sunday, I made an appointment with the other company. He estimates that for the trip, part, and labor the total will be about $150. Fixing it will cost the same that Home Heating charged just for the diagnostic.

Don't make the same mistake I did. Avoid Home Heating & Cooling.

Edit: On the plus side, they came out quickly on a Sunday and the tech was friendly. But bottom line, $900 for a pressure switch is outrageous.
