Free quote. Great prices. Great guys. The person who came to our home was professional, polite, prepared, highly experienced & honest. Took a thorough look & knew exactly what was needed. Didn't try to gouge us. Offered a reasonable price & schedule the work fast. After attempting to work with other local companies & being gouged or put off for weeks & weeks, we won't work with any other HVAC company other than Dowd. our AC went out so we called Dowd because we specifically wanted to work with a local business. we have 2 units in the house. one worked great. The other, completely dead. They came by to fix the broken unit. The night they repaired the bad unit, the working one stopped. I’m not trying to blame Dowd for sabotaging the second unit But when I called to explain the situation, they were completely unwilling to take a look at it. they said maybe it’s the air filter (it’s not). i was out of state on a business trip, so my wife had to deal with them. they were incredibly rude, would not work with her and would not come out to take a look. i just got off the phone with them telling them I’m not trying to get something for free and would happily pay for repairs, if someone would pretend to care and come out to take a look at the issue. the receptionist proceeded to explain to me that’s not how business works and it’s been too long for them to waive the fee. Which is ironic because we have been in contact with them for a month concerning the issue. 100% do not recommend working with this company.
