    Terrible customer service. I called A-1 out to get a quote on some ductwork repair. When I called a week later to schedule the work, the man on the phone said he required a $100 deposit and a signed contact before they would put me on the schedule. OK...Fair enough. I asked to pay over the phone and they said no. So I drove out to their office to pay and sign the paper work at which point I asked to get put on the schedule. They said the technician would call a day before they came out...which is weird. Two weeks later, and still no call, I phoned the office and they said they were booked and no one would be able to come for weeks because of "air conditioning season". They may or may not do good work...but the service is the worst.

    I could not be more pleased with the equipment recommendation. Chris Smith knows his stuff. He inspected my entire house and determined that there was insufficient return air duct work for the new furnace to perform properly. And he came up with a solution to the problem and implemented the modification at no extra charge. My new furnace and AC unit are impressive and the guys that installed the equipment are great. They provided a very neat and professional equipment installation. I recommend A-1 Heating to my friends and neighbors.

    Nothing has changed from before the cleaning visit; we are still having so much dust it is not healthy for us. Their equipment seamed to be old; it stirred the dust but didn’t suck it up totally. I would’ve liked to see what and how much dirt came out of our ducts, when I asked the gentleman he said you can climb up the truck and see, off course that wasn’t possible the truck was not accessible. The house was full of dust after he left, I don’t know if that is normal with all companies or not however, I had to clean each room wiping every item in it which took lots of my time. When the heat is on dust accumulate quickly, maybe they should update their equipment and use video inspection to make sure the job is done correctly.

    I called A-1 today to inquire about service for a residential a/c unit. The man that answered the phone was not friendly to me at all. I was unable to tell him the age of my unit and he was then cold and practically hung up on me. Because of this I do not recommend using them. As the first point of contact to customers, the person answering the phone should be friendly and helpful. Not cold and rude.

    The staff was kind and helpful. They got us in as soon as they could and repaired it the scheduled day. The repairman even had to leave and see if they had the needed part at their shop but when he didn’t find it, he went and purchased it that day to get things fixed. I appreciated their help in keeping our family cool this summer!

    In February my furnace stopped working. We called to have someone come out and take a look. The furnace and ac were corroded and needed replacing. That was fine, we signed up to have both replaced. The replacement was fast. But they ripped out the entrance to my crawl space and left a mess. I wish I had taken a picture. I wasn't thinking about that at the time. I just cleaned up the area and blocked off my crawl space so I could let my dogs out and get on with my day. Here it is now September. I have been calling, asking , begging, and pleading with them to fix what they ripped out. I now have a rodent problem. They have a list of excuses that have left me to fix the problem on my time and my dime! They got paid to damage my home, don't hire them!

    A $200.00 job to service furnace and air wound up over $1000, because of additional work in the crawlspace and a pump, I was at work and they didn't call me after the work. I asked for pictures of the work in the crawlspace and they didn't even put a new filter in the furnace!! I called, a guy said they will get back to me. Well...They did NOT get back to me but they were quick to take the money out of my bank!!! NOT HAPPY

    If I could put a review with zero stars I would .

    I had an idea what was wrong with my furnace, the blower isn't working but I called to ask them to do a diagnosis on my furnace to see what this issue was since they installed the furnace in 2010 but was planning on fixing it myself. Once I mentioned fixing it myself in conversation he flipped out and said they wouldn't do a just a diagnosis. They will only do the whole job or nothing at all because "they're a business." I obviously offered to pay for the diagnosis but they still refused saying if I then went and fixed it myself and there was still a problem then I'd come back on them. No really but whatever. My guess is and other people have warned me that they do this is that they would of diagnosed that I needed to replace and fix things that didn't need fixed and make me pay them to do it and then I'd have no way to verify whether or not I really need to replace those parts.

    They could of kept me as a customer, at least partial customer and got some money out of me if they'd of just let me pay for a diagnosis but now they've lost me as a customer completely!

    I recommend Bob's Home Service!

    Chris came out to my house to give a quote. He was professional and on time. Gave a great prices and reviewed the product he would be using for the boiler. The company is locally owned and family oriented.
    Unfortunately we had unexpected situation arise and this company was understanding and accommodating. We are completely satisfied with this company. Thank you guys again. We will definitely use for future services.
