I called to get ductwork repaired on my manufactured home. The representative I spoke with was rude and argumentative and told me to call the company that installed my heater two years ago or call a lawyer. He wouldn't even send someone out to quote repairs.THEN, he hung up on me! Bad business practice if you ask me!
Called to ask about boiler loop replacement because the company I had come out to diagnose the problem was unable to do the actual boiler loop plumbing that runs through the basement. They took great offense that I had called anyone else and were unwilling to help me at all. They insisted that I use the person who came out even though they only work on boilers not the plumbing loops that run through the house. They seemed irritated that I would even call them for help. They did not state that they could not do the work but that they WOULD NOT. You would think we were dating and that I cheated on them. Very unprofessional to get mad that I had not called them first.
Had a a1heating sales person doing an estimate today for the furnace/AC. He stared looking around and asking about unrelated equipment like a chimney liner for water heater, and what type of water heater I would like to install and how they would need to fix some duct work. After I told him that the chimney liner is unrelated to the efficient furnace and that I will be doing the duct work myself and I have all the necessary permits, he became visibly irritated and with the words "I don't work like that" headed for the exit. Then I asked him to give me at least a ballpark estimate for the furnace/AC that I requested an estimate for, he quoted $3500 for the furnace and about the same for AC. I told him another contractor quoted me $3,800, he asked me for the contractor's name. I told him the contractor's first name and after I offered to get the last name off my phone that was in the car, he interrupted me with words "I don't need that" went to his car. He was very unprofessional and I would fire this salesperson for the better of A1 heating. After all, they served me well in my main residence when they installed my furnace and did periodic service. Hope they will continue with salespeople better than that.
I was going to write a halfway decent review. I almost decided to go with this company and then I told him I was going to search out other estimates. I ended up going with somebody else. And when he called to do a follow-up and before I could get it out of my mouth that I went to somebody else he just yells at me good luck and hangs up... Very rude and unprofessional! I would highly recommend not to go with them and don't even call him out for an estimate
All I did is try to get them to come out and give me a quote for a new hot water tank replacement. They were so concerned that I have a home warranty that they said they wouldn’t come out “because home warranty’s don’t pay”. Ok let’s make this clear. Yes I have a home warranty. I need a hot water tank ASAP. I HAVE EVERY INTENTION TO PAY OUT OF MY POCKET. The home warranty reimbursement is my concern not yours. I’ve used my warranty before and had a check in 4 days. I’m not concerned about that. I WILL NOT BEG YOU FOR MY BUSINESS. I WOILD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. I WILL TAKE MY CASH BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.
We have used A-1 Heating for years, they have installed & maintained our air & heating units and have always been on time , never left a mess & workers are courteous and informative. They do good work & are dependable which is why we continue to have them maintain are heating & air
Just horrible customer service. A/c unit went out unexpectedly. The high for that day was 96 degrees. Naturally, I'm going to try to find the first available company that can help since I have a small child in home .The first gentleman I spoke with asked who installed it - I let them know the company - instead of saying "since we're not the original company to install it, we will have to schedule servicing for you" . He rudely asked me. "Why didn't you call them!?" When he told me the day he could come out . I said, no thank you .I'll wait for my company to get back to me So it was a surprise to see them call me first thing in the morning. Since they were the first to actually get back to me. I was going to accept the appointment for the following day. But the gentleman asked me. Who installed it. I answered, but I told them they had not gotten back with me yet. Before I could say, yes I'll accept the appointment. He rudely interjects "You're either going to schedule with us, or go with them. I don't have time to play these beat the clock games with you" When I asked why was he being so rude .I'm trying to give you my money and business . He started going at me again, and I hung up . I refused to be disrespected by someone I'm trying to give my money to I'd rather sit in the heat than be spoken to or handled in that manner. Learn how to treat and speak to people . Especially paying patrons .
I really liked the serviceman that came to my home. He was very friendly and gave little tips to keep the unit in good order! I was extra pleased when he was following all safety protocols that are in place during these times.
