The day I called, Austin came over quickly and diagnosed the issue. Within 30 minutes, Jamie (the owner) came over and priced some new AC systems out for me. Financing was a piece of cake. Jerry showed up on time the day of installation and took care of everything quickly, professionally and carefully with what seemed like superhuman strength in 6 hours. I don't think he even took a break! After he was done, Jerry showed me what he did and explained another issue that I thought I had upstairs. Very knowledgeable and considerate team. I had previously had a new heating system installed by Sears Heating and Cooling and they did a great job then as well. Highly recommended!

We had them install a heat pump 2.5 years ago, and they have been available to troubleshoot and remedy a few minor issues in a timely, polite and professional manner. I called Sears Heating & Cooling after receiving an estimate from Atlas Butlers for $8.2k to replace a 4 -ton AC unit. I ended up calling around the next day and a few other companies had lead times of 2-3 weeks and would not offer a rough estimate over the phone. I ended up emailing SHC, sent them a few pictures and they were able to offer a rough quote over email for $5k for a comparable unit to what Atlas Butlers had quoted. I ended up upgrading to a nice Bryant unit as the model Atlas Butlers had quoted was more of an economy/budget unit which they recommended to replace my Carrier unit. Everything SHC recommended sounded great and they sent out a tech the following morning to take measurements and confirm the exact job price.
They came out and installed the unit 3 days later on a Sunday and my tech John did a marvelous job. The job site was left cleaner than when he arrived and he was extremely courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable.
I think John and SHC went above and beyond in a number of areas such as: 1. John replaced the old concrete slab my old unit was sitting on. The old slab was in perfect shape but SHC said the new plastic slabs which are included free of charge create less vibrations and are quieter. Being the only tech on the job, dragging out this 120~ lb. slab by himself would have been something I think most techs would installed the AC on the current slab.
2. Replaced a cheaper interior coil system with a coil box which is more efficient and looks much nicer and should extend the life of the AC longer than our previous unit.
3. I asked for a quote to replace our furnace as well and the suggested we should be able to get an extra 5~ years out of it and we should hold out. They even measured for the new furnace and set up the current installation so they can slide the new furnace right in whenever we need to have it replaced.
4. John did not take any short cuts and did a fantastic job. I think the project was a bit more complicated than originally thought and he was out at the site for ~9 hours. I know after a long day it is tempting to skimp on the clean-up and other finishing touches but John covered all the bases. I could not have asked for a better installer.
Bottom line, SHC is a great company and unlike most HVAC companies out there will not try and up-sell you on things you do not need and take the time to do things right. In an industry where customers must rely on the expertise of the technicians it is refreshing to find an HVAC company that is honest and reasonable.

My heating system ceased working overnights on a Saturday night with temperatures in the 20’s. Their 24/7 Service model couldn’t have a come in more handy. They picked up the phone right away and dispatched a technician (Austin L) within a couple of hours to diagnose what the issue was but with parts not available on the weekends, Austin was still able to get the parts first thing in the following morning and come out immediately to install. All was remedied within a couple of hours on Monday. Excellent job by Sears and Austin L!
