We always rely on Canal Winchester Heating & Cooling to service our furnace and air conditioner. They are very professional, and come as soon as they can when we have an emergency. Very reasonably priced too. Would never go anywhere else.

I had my furnace serviced today and was extremely pleased with the technician. His
professional summary of my ACs current status, reassures that the unit will perform, as expected, during hot summer days.

James showed up at my front door with a smile and ready to solve my heating problem. I stayed with a James most of the time due to my desire to understand and learn. James was very open and explained everything he was doing on a level I could understand. James ended up diagnosing my problem very fast. He explained what needed to be done and also informed me the parts needed were readily available on his truck and he could have my heat back on within the hour. This was a huge relief knowing my wife and 2 children would sleep in a warm bed this night. James is a consummate professional and is very highly recommended. James is a great face for the company he represents!

My furnace stopped working during the night and I called Canal Winchester Heating and Cooling early on Sunday morning and to my surprise the call was answered by real person. She was kind, courteous and very professional. Mike, the repair man was also extremely professional. He listened to the problems I was having, took time to work through all the issues and reassured me that he would stay with it until the problem was solved, if the repairs he made that day were not enough. Mike even texted me that evening to make sure my furnace was working and I would have heat for the night. True to his word he did. I highly recommend Canal Winchester Heating and Cooling. They provided service above and beyond the norm.

New owners price gouge loyal customers.

I had a brand new Goodman A/C unit put in by these guys 4-5 years ago. Since then I've had the unit serviced almost every summer. This summer I was met with a bit of a shock. The technician informed me that a new TXV would need to be installed and that I had to call the office to set up another appointment and get a quote. He mentioned that I should explain that the unit is still relatively new, that the part was under warranty and that it's been serviced a few times since. He said given the situation they should treat me right and give me a good quote.

I called, explained the situation and was shocked when my quote was nearly $900. She could tell how uneasy I was with that quote and piped in "Keep in mind that refrigerant is up to $150 per lb and we need to drain and refill 4 lbs worth from your system." This sounded pretty extreme to me so I did some digging. A quick online search showed that you could buy a 25lb tank of R410A refrigerant (current a/c standard which my unit takes) for $150. Next step was seeing what the other guys in the area charge. I called 4 local places asking for a quote on what they charge per lb to fill refrigerant. All 4 of these guys told me $50 a lb, substantially less than Canal Heating and Cooling. So I asked all 4 companies for a full quote, with refrigerant, to replace a welded TXV. The quotes I got ranged from $440-650, again all were substantially lower than Canal Heating.

I thought I could trust these guys but I made a severe mistake. After all the business I have given them this egregious quote was a slap in the face. Further more, it's been about 2 months since they told me I needed this TXV and my a/c unit is still running strong. I'm wondering if that part was even faulty to begin with.

Both men were very competent and thorough in their jobs inside and out.
Josh's recommendations were very helpful. My outside man (have forgotten his name) took decibel readings and will let me know what manufacturer has to say re. same. I have dealt with this company for nearly 25 yrs. and two heat pumps & ac units. My daughter, Susan L, has this yr. purchased her air cond. unit from them and we are both satisfied with the company and their responses to any problems.

Everything went smoothly. I got my A/C unit serviced and had two parts replaced. The technician explained everything and I feel like he did a good job. I will call them again.

We also use their Maintenance Program and they always call to schedule when I am only starting to think about it. We have been customers for years and I have no problem in recommending them for your heating and cooling needs.
