This is the second year I've had Mike with Allied Aire out to clean my dryer duct and vent. He is very professional, knowledgeable, respectful and great with my pets. Mike was super thorough and removed a LOT of pet hair and lint. I now realize that cleaning that vent after each load is definitely not enough when you see what makes it past that. Thanks!!!

Allied Aire went above and beyond my expectations. Bill and Jeff helped me decide which system to purchase and have installed. Vinnie and Steven were on time and did and excellent job they cleaned up all debris and asked if they could do anything before they left. Office staff kept me informed as to when the technicians would arrive. Even after storm a technician came out promptly and resolved my issues. I am very satisfied with the Carrier unit that was installed.

Allied has been servicing my HVAC system for 10 years and have always been very professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. Yesterday they did a major upgrade in the rain, and as complicated as it was, they were very careful not track in any rain/dirt into my house. They stayed late to finish the job and do the cleanup. Jeff Shue and all all his crew at Allied Aire, Inc. have been outstanding. We had our new Carrier HVAC system installed April 21st and we have been in a learning process on how to set and use the system. Jeff and his crew did wonderful job in the installation. The installation crew were prompt, hard working and clean up after finishing. As we were having problems understanding how to operate the new system, they made additional service calls and diagnosed a small problem that greatly improved system operation. Allied Aire came highly recommended by Davidson College and I would make the same recommendation to anyone wanting to replace furnace and/or air conditioning units.

Lance, the technician, was great. He was extremely thorough, gave honest advice, and didn’t rush anything.

Why the two stars then? Price gouging. I called 4-5 A/C companies stating I know I have a refrigerant leak and only need a fill up. Allied was the only place that would not tell me what the cost would be for the refrigerant. Everyone else said between $75-$120/lb. Based upon Allied’s reviews, I went with them assuming they would be in that range also. Granted, the call was after hours which they charged an additional $30 for the service call; I was fine with that. The sticker shock was the $195/lb refrigerant cost that was not told to me until I got the invoice. A simple refrigerant service for 2 lbs was $531!

Called and spoke with the Office Manager, Jeff, who agreed the cost should have been communicated, and he would see what he could do to help me with this outrageously high invoice. Haven’t heard from him, and he hasn’t returned my calls.

Buyer beware - get full costing upfront.

I've been using Allied Aire since 2012. Their customer service and technical proficiency are excellent. I trust them with an annual maintenance contract and for major repairs and replacements. I move around the world about once a year because of my job and Allied takes care of my single family home with two split systems and my great tenants as if it were me and my own in there. My systems were failing after about 11 years of operation and Allied provided what I considered a fair quote after a fair amount of wear and tear. Allied gave me options very quickly and then replaced the units fast, making sure my tenants stayed happy. They have a neat feature where they notify you that an HVAC tech is on the way and you can track his progress. Kim is incredibly understanding of the places I move to, the time zone differences, the lack of communication I often have to deal with, and still my tenants are taken care of with no lapse in service. That is simply amazing. Allied even went a step further to help me get discounts where I could and they patiently waited while I dealt with a compromised credit card problem overseas. I don't see myself ever changing companies.
