Our boiler stopped working on a Friday, and it turned out that we needed a new boiler. Pipe Doctor (Mike) was recommended to us by a trusted source. We checked the company’s reviews; all good. We called Mike Friday afternoon, and he was at our house the next evening with a proposal for a hanging tankless unit (heat and hot water combined). We signed with Pipe Doctor and the unit was installed on Tuesday 1/7/20.

Mike and his crew completed the job promptly and efficiently by mid-afternoon Tuesday. The new heating system setup looks great, and the system is working quite well. The unit takes up a fraction of the room of our old boiler and hot water tank, and it appears to deliver as much heat and hot water as our old system.

Mike and his crew were very courteous and careful about their work. Mike was responsive to all of our questions. After the install, Mike told us about, and submitted the papers for, a rebate from our local gas utility
company, thereby helping us save some money on the install.

Follow Up: Tankless heat unit which Mike installed stopped working last night (1/29/20). Called Mike/Pipe Doctor. He was at our door 7:30 AM this morning with an assistant and promptly fixed the problem. Heat back on by 8 AM. Very courteous and efficient.

I set an appointment, and the plumber arrived on-time. He was very friendly and courteous. The quality of the work was top-notch, as he was able to diagnose and fix the issue right away. I could tell he was experienced and highly professional. I would like to mention that the plumber was very clean, and did not leave any mess at all. I am always worried about cleanliness as various contractors have left my house in disarray in the past. The pricing was reasonable, and lower than most of the quotes I had received. Overall it was a great experience and I've already recommended Pipe Doctor Plumbing to a few friends and family members.

Pipe Doctor is definitely an A++ local business that is amazingly professional, more than reasonable in pricing, and super super fast. They do not skimp in on using the best product and the services that they provide is second to none. They finished my water heater install same day in the snow within 2 hrs from call, negotiating, delivery and removal. Will use in the future without a doubt. Pipe Doctor second to none!!!

When I first called pipe dr I was told the technician would arrive by 12 i called at 10 Mike the technician arrived in 45 minutes. Mike was very courteous helpful and professional. He answered all my questions and did the job quickly and efficiently. Once the job was completed mike was very thorough in making safety checks to make sure the boiler ran properly. I highly recommend pipe dr and I will he getting that service agreement, thanks mike.

I had a forced air furnace installed today with a steam humidifier (controlled by an outdoor sensor). Mike (the owner) and his crew did an exceptional job with the new installation. Mike is the most responsive contractor I have dealt with thus far. He is also very easy going to deal with and I would definitely hire him again and refer him to family or friends.

After having a long history of bad installation, in-knowledgeable service we finally came across Mike and Pipe Doctors.

We decided to use the warranty replacement of our unit to update and zone our system and clean up the renegade piping that had been left over the last 85years.

Today we have a close to a perfect system. The zoning just works. We had a couple of minor hiccups that Mike tended to without hesitation.

By far the best experience I have had in NYC and I would recommend him and crew to anyone in need of heating installation.

From calling the office to the actual service call this was a five star encounter. Jennifer in the office was very accommodating to my schedule and worked with me to get the first available appointment that worked for my schedule. Mike showed up on time and was the consummate professional. In addition to doing very clean and detail oriented work he explained everything that he was doing throughout the process. He provided me with choices as to how the problem could be fixed in different ways and explained the pros and cons of each. Amazing all around service. Highly highly highly recommended!

I ve like many others dealt with Mike who was professional courteous and punctual. Told me what my problem was right away. Knowledgeable professional. Told me how much it would cost me to fix my issues with AC which was quite costly in comparison to other professionals who also identified same problems immediately and offered me repairs for considerably less price who also have great reviews and who also are licensed and insured.
I called Mike shortly after his visit to sign up with maintenance plans that his company offers and was told by him that he is with another client and will call me back. Never did.

Thank you Mike & Kelvin! They called this morning and stated they would be here shortly and within 10 minutes they were in front of the house - great first impression of the company. We were having an issue with the pilot light staying on and also wanted maintenance on the heating unit, Mike was very thorough in his explanation of the issue and what part needed to be replaced and price of part. We ended up purchasing a service contract for the heating/central air unit. Thanks again guys for your courtesy & professionalism much appreciated!
