This company has been the most frustrating to work with. Previous tenant had a contract that we were unaware to take over, we proceeded to pay for tank refill but asked to not have it refilled when summer was around the corner, John Ray and Sons took that as if we did not want to be customers anymore and sent a crew to remove the tank the next day and bill us $200 for a tank removal fee. When calling to let them know that was not what we meant, they failed to provide guidance from a manager for 4 months now, they provided fake employee names when asked for clarification and assistance and to this day has not been resolved even when calling weekly to check the status on bill. I am very disappointed with the customer service that has been provided and the unclear transparency especially when this could all have been sorted out within a week.

Worst company ever they don't bother to get out and knock they just pull up and drive away with even giving any one a chance to say yeah we're here been waitin since wensday and now I'm told I have to wait another week to get heat customer service reps can't tell u anything except u just have to wait even though they drive past ur house 5 times a day switching company's immediately

Current propane price is $7.50/gal feb '23. According to NYSERDA, this is more than DOUBLE the average price for the region which is around $3/gal. Find someone else.

Do not do business with this company! We had been customers of theirs since 1997 and they could care less about us! We were on a so called "Budget" plan with them and they never even let us know when we went over our budget and they delivered us another $1500 in fuel and just sent us a bill after they filled our tank and never even got our approval knowing we were $1500 over what we could afford! We tried to negotiate with them because they did this without ever letting us know we would have to pay $1500 over what we had set for our monthly budget and they would not even work with us after being long time loyal paying customers of 27 years! THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT OUR BUSINESS AND CORPORATE GREED IS ALL THIS COMPANY CARES ABOUT! DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND DONT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

John Ray and sons is an A+ company serving my elderly mother. They have a trusted long term staff and My mom knows the service people. They have taken time to speak to her on each service call for maintenance. They offer automated budgeted payment plan to spread expenses out throughout the year. And Carolyn in their billing department is outstanding for explaining any questions on billing. Very caring experience.

One of the most seamless and perfect customer service experiences I've ever had! My two young children and I awoke yesterday (Saturday) morning to no heat; Very kind woman named Pat answered the phone immediately around 7:00am and got the process moving forward. At 8:55am, the technician Kyle S. was at my door and began working on the issue. At 10:30am, the repairs had been made and I had heat again.
As a business owner myself, I know how hard it is to find good people and it seems like John Ray & Sons has some great ones. Kudos to Pat and Kyle S. and the rest of the team on a job very well done!!

We ran out of oil Friday. Our current company missed our auto delivery date. We tried calling that company for an entire day leaving messages and calling the emergency line and to no avail. We had a snow storm Saturday and we have 3 kids in here.
Anyway decided to call John ray. Was approved and signed up to use this service. Jermaine had us set up for an emergency fill to get our heat back on. Well the tech came out with giant army cans of oil a few hours later and was unable to get them into our tank. Said there’s nothing he can do after he made a phone call and he left. No one came back and we are still without heat. Called for the 4th time and was told if someone comes out to assist us it will be another charge of 129$ For coming out.
WHAT SERVICE??? It’s 40 degrees in my house and we have no hot water. You didn’t service anything. Left high and dry once again. Thanks 🥶
