    Called them to check my first floor unit central air system as it failed to operate. Guy came in and was very pleasant. However, he checked the blower and the thermostat but never checked the outdoor unit. Charged $150 and said i need to replace both my nonworking and the working upstairs and will cost about $2700. I asked for second opinion from another AC repair professional and they came in and replaced a dead battery from the indoor unit and it was back to working perfectly fine. Completely waste of time and money, will never use Bob mims and will not recommend to anyone.

    Joshua, the tech is always On time, professional, neat and clean work space, and friendly. He has been doing our heating and AC maintenance for a few years now. It is always a pleasure to see him. He is truly an asset to the Bob Mims family.

    Our C/A stopped functioning yesterday. We called Bob Mims and, since we have a service contract with them, a technician was sent over within an hour of our call. At this time of the summer, and in the late afternoon when we called, that was AMAZING!
    The technician changed the filter and suspected that the system had 'frozen'. He suggested we change the filter monthly in order to prevent this from occurring. He told us to keep the C/A off for a few hours and another technician would come in the morning to check for other potential causes.
    As promised, another technician arrived on time this morning to check the whole system. Everything is working perfectly now. Joshua, yesterday's technician, had correctly assessed the problem and his recommendations for correcting the issue worked perfectly. Glenn, today's technician, was equally good. He thoroughly checked over the entire system to make certain there were no other problems.
    Joanne, who we usually speak to when we call, was also her professional, efficient and excellent self.
    We've been using Bob Mims for several decades for all our HVAC needs and we are very happy and impressed with the high quality of their service and their professionalism. That includes their technicians, the office support staff who field calls, and the management/owners.
    In recent years, we've chosen to purchase their maintenance contract each year and find it worth the cost. Bob Mims may not be the cheapest HVAC company out there, but if you're looking for an excellent and reliable HVAC company who gets the job done, who stands behind their work, and who treats their customers well, then this would be a great company to do business with.

    Glenn McCoormack serviced my central AC and was awesome! He was Polite, Informative and did an excellent job. My AC unit stopped working inn the middle of 104 degree weather! Joanne and Angela were very courteous on the phone during my panicked call. This company provides great and timely service!

    Bob Mims is the absolute worst. We purchased a new central air unit a little less than 3 years ago and have had nothing but issues. Multiple freon leaks with a high service charge for each visit and no permanent fix. During the summer heat wave, we had YET ANOTHER issue where the freon was depleted. We called only to have them tell us that "it was a heat wave and they were busy so lower the usage of the unit or have another company look at it". We went with another company only to have the freon depleted within 3 weeks due to an overall issue with the unit. FINALLY, a technician came out and added more freon (I can't stress how expensive each visit has been) and ordered a part under warranty to fix it. WELL...we have been waiting for that part for 3 months. No air. In the heat for 3 months. When we call, they can't give us an answer as to when the part will come in. What the status is. Nothing. We "just have to wait and they will call us". This has been nonstop headaches with the unit "down/broken" more than it's been working. To have paid so much for a new unit along with service fees and have to deal with this has been awful. I hope to get an answer soon. To get ANYTHING soon. Once this warranty is up, so is my business

    I would like to say that this company is true to their word and the technician (Mike) was very courteous and answered all my questions plus he explained all aspects of the repairs
    I would totally recommend this company to all that need any repairs or installation as they installed my central air 21 years ago and it has been working great all that time

    As always the technician Michael was courteous and explained everything he was doing. Checked the thermostat inside and unit outside. Found a connection issue and shared what he was doing. Checked all other connections.
