We recently had a new AC system and house heating system installed by them in North Brunswick ...and also in April 2018 had them install a new water heater. This time, the Installer tried to add on additional charges after installation of new water heater, after already writing down cost for the job and presenting us with the estimate. Then he tried to force us to pay him extra or else he would not connect grounding wire, as required by law to pass inspection. The office girl, Claudia tried to give us the run-a-round 2 months later about removal of gas dryer, saying she didnt have a copy of the work order which promised this in writing given to us before they began the job. Now we are sorry we gave them referrals to friends recently for an entire kitchen job they did because Dolans show no customer appreciation at all. Make sure you get everything in writing up front because they cannot be trusted.

I have been using Dolan since I moved to Somerset in 1973 and have always been satisfied. I was very pleased with the work they did for me recently: installing a new shower fixture and a new kitchen faucet.

Jack Dolan & Sons have been doing work for us for many years and we have always found them to be very responsive, professional, polite and punctual. Good work, very reliable. Cheap? No.

Called them for a small job which turned into a never ending job of leaks and valves. $50-80 dollars worth of piping and valves at Home Depot ran me almost $1000 with them. Way overpriced for the little job they did. It's my fault for not informing myself better. Look elsewhere. These guys are out to rip you off.

Extremely disappointed with Dolan. My only experience with Dolan ended up being a horrible misdiagnosis of why water was coming through my ceiling. I was told I needed my entire shower, rows of tile and tub basin to be pulled out to fix a "support issue" for the basin when what ended up being the real problem was simply a cracked drain pipe. If they opened up the ceiling they would've seen that. So we go from thousands of dollars to hundreds of dollars. And on top of that, it's been 6 days since they were here and they haven't even bothered sending their ridiculous quote to me nor they have they contacted me. Stay away folks.

My air conditioner just pooped out Wednesday evening with some steamy temps on the horizon...i had to sleep at my sisters house down the shore.
Dolan sent a tech out on Thursday and checked out my failed unit...they recommended AC and heater both be done.
So after some questions and tepidness i was called early Friday by an OWNER who really seemed to care about my dilemma..
By Friday evening i had a new AC and Heater at a great price with no upselling, no trickery, no greed...just great service.
Very special thanks to David and Chris who worked through 90 degree temps, a hurricane like rainstorm, and our tough to navigate garden...they even were picking up our plants which fell during the short storm.
David and Chris were very neat, cared about not messing up our yard, and were very informative and explained everything completely. Dolan made what could have been a very stressful event into a pleasure.
By the way, i called Dolan and got an owner on the phone, i called the utilty who made it clear i wasnt going to speak with anyone...just their loser menu and being placed on hold..
