My initial experience w/ this company was not great. Called them to fix my mini split which wasn't getting cold, even though it was nearly new. Apparently they just added refrigerant to it and it ended up leaking out short time after. Called again, paid dispatch and repair fees again, and they came and did the exact same thing which again didn't fix it. Frustrated and desperate I called one last time and the wonderful dispatcher Cassandra took pity on me and resolved to send someone who knew what they were doing. Chris R came to the rescue and *correctly* troubleshooted and fixed it. I am thankful to him for being competent but also being empathetic and just a really nice guy. Finally my system works like it's supposed to thanks to Chris.

Elite Air has skilled technicians but outrageous service fees, my advice - look for a more reasonably priced service provider. Replacing an AC capacitor ($10 parts on Amazon and 5 mins of work) will set you back $200+. Replacing a faulty contactor ($20 parts on Amazon and 15 mins of work) will cost you $500. I would understand $300 including the service call and the diagnosis, but $500?! They are coldly gauging desperate people who need AC to survive the summer heat. What makes matters worse is that none of the hardware stores (Home Depot, Lowes, etc) carry the basic parts for AC repair and one has to rely on HVAC services unless one wants to endure 3 days w/o an AC to wait for the part to get delivered. If you have an aging AC - stock up on the basic parts in advance or shop around for better service fees. On another note, Elite Air's annual maintenance plan is nothing more than an opportunity for them to sell you questionable repairs at every visit. If your HVAC is aging, you will need repairs, duh, but not necessarily the ones they recommend.

Heads up- We just got a phone call from a company called Elite Air offering a special on their spring air conditioning tune-up. We used this company last year and do not recommend them. When they were here last year, they completed the tune-up on our air conditioning which had previously been running fine. One month later when we needed to turn the air conditioning on, it was not working. When we called them, they recommended a full system replacement; we wanted it checked out since it worked fine the previous summer. They came back to inspect it and my husband pointed out that the fan was blowing in the wrong direction. They determined that their previous repair technician had reconnected the condenser fan wiring backwards, causing the condenser to not work and damaging the contactor which shorted out once they corrected the color coded wires. They continued to recommend replacing the whole unit. To fix the burned out contactor, they wanted to charge us several hundred dollars. We fixed their error with a $15 part and 20 minutes, after some time researching.
If my partner were not so handy and watched over their shoulder on their second visit, they would have fooled us. Please be cautious.

Elite Air did a great job replacing my heat pump in the past, and I felt pretty confident in how they valued their customers. However a recent situation with their customer service really left me disappointed. I had a ceiling vent grille come loose and I couldn't screw it back in because the drywall was too damaged. I wasn't sure if I needed to call a handyman, a drywall specialist or my HVAC servicer Elite Air. I figured I'd call Elite Air first just to confirm if this was a problem they could fix. I spoke to one agent who said she wasn't sure but she could book a technician to visit me and said it'd be a $109 diagnostic fee. Since I didn't want to pay $109 for the person to come out and tell me they couldn't do it, I asked if I could email them a picture so a technician could confirm visually if they could handle the issue. The rep then said the following morning someone would look at my picture and get back to me. The next morning no one contacted me as I was advised then I got an automated text saying the technician was on their way. I called customer service again and explained to a different rep what happened, and they never acknowledged or apologized for their coworkers mistake. Instead, this rep said fixing vent grilles is typically not within the scope of their technicians work but doesn't see why they wouldn't be able to address it. So I then waited for the technician to arrive and he was able to fasten the grille back into the drywall using anchors. 2 days later the grille fell completely out of the ceiling. I called customer service again and asked for the technician to come out again. I ask the customer care rep if I would be charged for the technician's visit. She said there would be no diagnostic fee, however as for the service fee, it would depend if the situation fell outside of warranty (ie if the grille fell out because I did something). The technician came but after looking at what happened/calling their supervisor they advised they could not fix this issue. They did not offer a refund, advised I call a handyman and then politely left. I called customer care and asked for a partial refund of the service fee, she said she would consult her manager and get back to me within an hour, but the whole day passed and she did not call back. I called the next day and followed up with the same rep again, and she said her manager did not get back to her yet. She said would follow-up their manager and call me back tomorrow with an update. The next day came and went with no call. So I'm starting to feel like I'm getting the run-around and that they're hoping I'll just give up. I really hope they do not come back and say since this type of task falls outside of their typical scope of work, warranty does not apply. Really really disappointed.
Update: After receiving a reply from the business I was advised to reach out to their customer service manager for the partial refund. When I did the refund was issued promptly.

It’s been nothing but a headache to deal with this company. They installed a new furnace and AC unit, first they installed a faulty pump which happens I get it. They came out the next day to repair it, I told every technician that has come to my house since the beginning of install multiple times not to touch the siding on my house since it was just replaced. They ended up burning and damaging my unit and trying to get someone out to my house to correct their mistake has been a nightmare. The install manager never gets back to you and the customer service representatives don’t help either. I wouldn’t recommend this company at all. Poor customer service and not responsive at all.

I was looking to get an estimate to replace the AC system. Elite air called me set up an appointment for first thing Monday morning 9am then called at 9:38 AM that morning and said they couldn't come out because they were overbooked. Very unprofessional and the rep who called didn't see a problem with this and was not very nice 👎👎👎
