I called this place to get a quote on some work we need done and the owner was so friendly and VERY helpful! Unfortunately we are out of their service area so we couldn't move forward but the thing that really impressed me most was that even though they couldn't make a sale with us, the owner took time to help educate me and gave me some great tips that I wouldn't have known otherwise. Not many people go out of their way for someone who isn't a customer and that they can't make money on so I wanted to come here to thank them for the help and share my experience.

The old boiler in our house died on us in the early morning just a few days before Christmas. I saw SG's high ratings on Google and they were the first company I called. Right away I was speaking directly to Scott the owner, and later that day he sent out Zach, his tech, followed by Tim, his engineer. The old boiler was done for (it went from ok to spewing carbon monoxide just before 6am -- I never go a single day without working CO detectors in the house - and neither should you). Based on the estimate Tim wrote up on the spot, I put down a deposit for a replacement boiler. Given how it was just a couple of days before Christmas, and having no prior experience working with SG, I prepared myself for the possibility they might not get their hands on a boiler in time to get my old one out and a new one in before closing for Christmas themselves (I don't know if they actually close for Christmas or not, I just assumed). Scott even offered to loan me electric space heaters, which I really would have needed if I didn't have some already as the next night was the coldest of this winter so far! On the next morning I got the scheduling call and on the one following, here came Scott and his crew to start. They installed a top-notch new Weil-McLain boiler and they stayed late to finish so we would have heat again for the night leading into the 24th -- I can't say enough great things for Scott and SG, they saved our Christmas

I recently had SG come to my home because I thought there was a problem with the water heater they installed last year. As it turned out, the issue was with my fuse box. The technician was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. The individuals who both made my appointment and called me regarding it were responsive, courteous, and understanding. As it turned out, I was not even charged for the service call and repair. I highly recommend SG to anyone who requires either installation or repair on their heating or air conditioning systems.

I need a new HVAC system and spent my weekend searching the internet for information. I decided to contact SG Heating because I was impressed with their website. I called early morning and spoke to Scott, I think he is the owner. I learned more from talking to Scott for 5 minutes than I did on all of my research. He is obviously very knowledgeable and a straight talker. No sales pitch, just useful facts. Just like his website. I felt I could trust Scott and was ready to have him install my new system, I was very disappointed to learn he does not cover the Ocean City area. I was especially impressed with how much help and information he gave me, even after it was clear he would not be able to do the work.

We originally met Scott from SG when we were looking to install a whole-house generator after Hurricane Irene in 2011. They did such an amazing job installing and maintaining our Kohler generator that we went on an Annual Contract, and SG became our regular HVAC and etc. contractor shortly after, and have been ever since.

I write “HVAC and etc.” because beyond maintain the generator and HVAC, they’ve done plumbing and electrical work for us as well, and every single job they’ve done has been perfect: Exactly as promised, on time, cleaned up after, and reasonably and competitively priced.

They’re quite amazing—in the run up to Hurricane Sandy in 2012, without being asked Scott came out to check the generator before the storm hit, and then with the electric service our for days, he did the same.

100% recommend, they are professional, friendly and honest. I called on a weekend because I was having issues with my old furnace that they installed back in 2005. The temperature outside was 17F so I needed a quick answer from them. I left a message and the owner, Scott Greiff called me back in no time. I explained in detail what the problem was and he quickly identified the root cause of the issue. Rather than charging me hundreds of dollars for an emergency weekend visit, he stayed on the phone with me for almost an hour. He patiently explained me step by step how to fix the problem with a high-pressure switch and a clogged condensate trap. Scott guided me on the phone so that I cold fix the furnace quickly. The furnace is running perfectly again. I will certainly do business with them again in the future.

I had S&G install a Mitsubishi ductless AC cassette for my office, replace my whole house humidifier, and provide my HVAC servicing and any plumbing work. They are professional, timely, and do meticulous work. I have priced similar projects with competitors and they offer excellent value. The owner, Scott, takes a very personal and “on the field” approach to his customers, unlike some other companies that perform similar work in the area. The service contract with these folks is well worth it. Highly recommended all around.
