    Allied Energy did home energy audit and determined I could use a new furnace, air conditioning unit, water heater and lots of insulation in the ceiling. I was skeptical, but they gave me a discount, arranged for the NJ Clean Energy program rebate and and 0% loan and promised me that my gas and electric bill would go down. They did all the work in one day, and left no mess. This included sealing drafty attic accesses and a new dryer vent. I was impressed with the team. The workers were all friendly and respectful of myself and my home. I have recommended Allied Energy to friends.

    Allied has made my last 2 homes more energy efficient. They upgraded the furnace, hot water heater and AC plus insulated the whole home for a great price. They get the job done in a day, and are very professional. All of this was done under the NJ State Clean Energy program which Allied has had the most installs of any contractor in the state. They are the experts in this program. I highly recommend them if need upgrade or have cold areas in your home.

    The whole process was great until after the install was done and we realized there were two issues that needed to be addressed. We had to chase after the company (multiple emails and phone calls to many different people) to get them to come correct the first issue, which again was done well (the people who do the actual work are professional, courteous and skilled). After fixing the first issue, the electrician said they'd have to come back and re-lay the insulation and we would hear from them that week. We waited a week, didn't hear from them. Sent an email after a week, no reply. Called again (this time to the project supervisor) after three weeks. We understand completely if they are busy and can't do the work yet, but at least acknowledge that you know there is still work to be done. Particularly because now it's one of the main things we paid for them to do (lay insulation). That's all we expect, and maybe without us having to call and email them multiple times to get even the slightest response. They had no issue sending us multiple emails and calling us prior to the work being done and even now after we have received multiple emails about being sure to schedule our follow up service (on something they didn't install) and asking for recommendations, but be aware that if you have any type of issue after the onus will be on you to chase them down to get it fixed. When I read the reviews, everyone likes the people who do the work, but if they've had an issue everyone says it's hard to get them to follow up. I guess once they get their money they just don't want to be bothered. It's a shame because the people who do the work are great, but with such poor followup resolution we will no longer recommend them.

    Got our Aprilaire 700 whole home humidifier installed. Two gentlemen Irvin and Fernando came and installed the humidifier. Very professional and fast. When the unit started working we had issue with the condensation flow as the outside was freezing. Called Allied again. Fernando came back quickly to take care of it and solved the condensation problem as well. Great work and definitely would recommend them.

    Tech diagnosed boiler problem as need to replace Low Water Cutoff, ordered part, different tech installed ($500), but didn't test boiler. It was summer, so boiler didn't run for more than a month. I tried to start it in November, before a coming cold snap...boiler ignited explosively, then went off. Same original tech came up and diagnosed need to replace Gas Flow Regulator (another $400), and said the part should arrive in just a day. Now waiting almost a week with only a space heater in 20/30 degree lows for part and to get scheduled for install. Of course, they don't work weekends. When I requested expedited service, office person said she'd contact her supervisor...of course, I got no response, not even a "f you." The only reason I called these folks in the first place is that they installed the boiler. They come up from south Jersey and always seem in a rush to leave. Disappointed isn't strong enough.
    ***Update*** the GFR is installed and I now have steam heat again...and I received a concerned call from Lisa, an Allied Ambassador, who asked about my experience, then offered to credit $125 and set me up with 3 complimentary tuneup visits, which I'll schedule for successive September dates. I will accept this offer, it's free stuff/service, after all, which makes me feel a little better about Allied's willingness to listen, but doesn't in any way change the events noted above. I will add one star (to three) for responsiveness after the fact.
