    Mark came for the assessment on Saturday morning. He arrived a few minutes early, was very knowledgeable, very respectful and was honest about everything. He's coming back in a couple days for the post-assessment evaluation and I'm looking forward to hearing from him.

    Mark from Allied came out to access my home. He spent almost 2 hours looking at our heating and air conditioning units and going into 2 attics and a crawl space.
    He was very knowledgeable and explained how we are losing our heat in the winter and a/c in the summer.
    He also was so kind to tape up something on our heating unit where we are losing a lot of heat.
    I would recommend having them do an evaluation of your home.
    I will review the work after it has all been completed.

    We are investigating the PSEG Energy Star pgm. If qualified you get a rebate from PSEG for 2k on the home improvements.

    The sales force is less informed than I would like and created several false impressions.

    Next comes a better informed person who corrects some of the errors and schedules an Energy Audit.

    The Audit actually looks at Water Heater, Furnace &AC, AND attic insulation.

    During the very comprehensive look at those elements the auditor found 2 gas leaks at the meter and remnants of an old dead squirrel in the attic.

    I've been impressed by the auditor and his attention to detail.

    They performed an energy assessment of my home and really did an excellent job. Eric was extremely thorough and very knowledgeable. He inspected all of our equipment and gave me very helpful recommendations as well as teach me about how the heat actually works and about condensation. Thank you Eric for doing such an amazing job. I would definitely recommend Allied to everyone who needs their heating/air conditioner systems, water heaters, and just generally any utility assessed and brought up to energy efficient standards.

    I called for service with a blower motor code shown on my furnace, which is 3 yrs old. They installed it on the state energy program. I was told there was an $89 service charge, parts would be warrantied, and I would pay for labor but no estimates or labor explanation was given when asked. Long story short, tech came and replaced the blower. Took an hour. I got a bill for $424. Basically the manufacturer warrantied the part and their labor charge is $400/hr. It took several days and several calls for an explanation from a manager. I explained this exact scenario to him. The $89 isn’t even credited to the service. I told him that I’m certain I could get anyone to unbolt a blower motor and replace it for less than $400/hr. I would’ve done it myself if I knew the fees they charge. The manager encouraged me to seek other choices if I wanted, but did offer me their maintenance plan. Great company guy. So I’m done with this company. They are only going to rip you off. Find an honest tech that will do the job and provide solid customer service. They’re lucky they got 1 star.
