I received a call that a technician was available to service my furnace a day early, so I said ok! Aban showed up and was SO NICE and POLITE!!! I brought him down to the furnace and showed him my concerns. He answered all of my questions and got to work on its annual service. He took down some unnecessary wires that were left behind from a previous service. Changed out the filter, even though it had just been done. He showed me video of the furnace firing up. Let me know what he thought should be next to be done to it. Nhe also let me know that it wasn't an emergency to get done, but it should get done. He took all trash with him. He chatted with my mom during the service appointment which was very nice. Great service from a very nice person!

I used Key to fix a small issue with my heating system where one of the heat zones was not working. My heating and cooling system is pretty complex, but Matt from Key was excellent at explaining how it all worked and fixing the problem. The entire staff at Key was super friendly, communicative, and responsive. No one likes when your heat goes out in the winter, but they made it as painless a process as possible. Matt even spent extra time showing me how to reprogram my annoying thermostats so that they just stay the same temperature all the time (which seems easier than it actually is).

We had an annual service scheduled in early November and waited at the rental Condo for 4 hours and they did not show up. We re-scheduled the service for 10 AM on 1/9/2023. They showed up this time and the heating system was running and we reminded them that we just wanted the service they recommended. They took it apart and said it needed to be replaced and refused to put it back together to keep the house from freezing during ~20 degree nights. We understood their concerns about safety and so asked to have the manager call and arrange emergency replacement so the pipes did not freeze. If they had kept their November appointment, this would not have been an issue because the temperature was well above freezing in early November. They never called back so I finally called back again at 4 PM and asked the receptionist to have the service manager call. He never called and just sent a quote for a low end heating system (York) with no indication of when they would schedule the replacement until we approved the quote. We decided that we had enough of this company.

Seven years ago Key installed our heating system but neglected to install the humidifier that should have been part of (and had been paid for) the system. Last year the technician discovered the issue and tried to install it, but it never worked properly- in spite of many attempts by several technicians. Today Matt, having read last year's reports, arrived and discovered there were a number of errors with its installation last year so he consulted the manuals, took it back to the beginning and reinstalled the system as it should have been done originally. It took him awhile to accomplish this, but at last the humidifier is working correctly. That is due to Matt's conscientiousness and dedication to doing his work thoroughly and correctly. In the future we would prefer to have Matt as the Key technician if we have any additional issues. Thank you, Matt! You are the best!!

UPDATE: Lorne reinforced our positive impression of Key HVAC. He was timely, professional and knowledgeable. Similar to our last experience with Grace and the heating system, Lorne walked us through everything with the cooling system, which was really important as new homeowners. We will continue using Key and look forward to recommending Key to others as well!

Grace showed up on time and was very professional. She was very knowledgeable and thorough, and pleasant to have in our home. In addition, we appreciated that she took the time to walk us through all the work she had completed. As first time homeowners, we truly appreciated this. Looking forward to using Key again!

Oops! I noticed an hour or two later that the gas "on and off" switch was in the off position after the guys from Key left the house. The house had gotten progressively cooler and I was wondering what had happened. Perhaps they were distracted. I should have asked to verify that the system was fully operational.
