Climate King LLC

I have to say I have been greatly disappointed in the services of this company. I have utilized my home warranty twice and they have sent me to Climate King. On both occasions, I had to wait a week for a technician with no one coming out or saying I missed the call to come out. I am unsure if it is because of the home warranty or the technicians on staff. Thankfully, I have been able to get service, on the same day, from a different company. Maybe they are better with their customers they have contracts with.

It never fails, AC issues always seem to happen on a weekend at the onset of a heatwave.

Upon setting up the appointment with Climate King, I told the staff member we had no air. I also told her I had pictures and information including the part number for the defective part. She told me to email the info I had, which I did minutes after hanging up with her. The soonest they could get to me was two weeks. I want to interject here that their website states the following:

"We offer same day/next day service anywhere

If your Air Conditioning goes out in a heat wave or your furnace breaks down when it’s bitter cold outside, you need emergency service fast! Rest assured and know that Climate King is there for you, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with live dispatchers and prompt service."

Lies! Even so, I didn't push the envelope. They had what the info needed to fix it and the AC would be running again in two weeks. Imagine my shock when the tech showed up for all of maybe five minutes, no part in hand, but simply to collect the info that I had already provided two weeks prior!! He left without any idea on when he could return with the part and I haven't received an ETA from the company either. What's frustrating is that I know that the part we need is in stock at a local HVAC supply warehouse. It wouldn't take any time at all to pick it up.

And the cherry on top of this less than stellar experience is that this company has been non-responsive unless they need to get in touch with me. At this point, my repair is unfinished and my AC is still offline... and we are still in a heatwave.

Our air was NOT blowing cold air!! Well we were told that our COMPRESSOR was out! Turns out that was WRONG!! We got SOMEONE else to look at it and it was another part!! We were quoted $1200 to get it fixed by Climate King which was NOT correct!! It turns out that it ONLY cost $120!! We got some one else to do it for $120 and we now have a functional ac unit NO THANKS to Climate King! I would NEVER call you all back!!

American Home Shield selected this company for a repair on my AC. They came out as scheduled but informed me that no work could be done because my evaporator coil was frozen. They went into the attic and turned off my unit and told me someone would contact me to reschedule. The next day I waited til 12pm and I had to call and reschedule my appointment. They came back and told me that my condenser unit and evaporator coil needed replacing and it will be $2800. I hired a second contractor for a second opinion. And he informed me that Climate King was about to take all my money because it was only the compressor that needed replacing. I only came out of $225. I would not recommend this company and informed AHS of this contractor.

These people are crooks my insurance was paying for parts and labor. But they tried to charge me $ 350 for wire modification, which you only unplugged the wire harness from the compressor and plug the same wire harness into the new compressor. Then they tried to charge me $225 for coil modification that's part of labor heat the coil cut it or pull it out attach it to the new compressor then seal it. Then they tried to charge me $120 for cleaning the coil on the unit you can buy coil cleaner from the hardware store for $20 . I'm glad I knew about HVAC from working with my father who has been doing this for over 30 years. Climate King was trying to get paid from the insurance company and the homeowner , people beware of these companies they are crooks and will get you everytime if you don't know better.

Main unit was low on freon. Two service techs could not have been nicer or more professional. Checked my problem out and looked to make sure was my only problem. Could not be more pleased with their service.

Climate King was assigned by my home warranty company. They come out and tell me my heat strips are bad in the unit. They order a heat kit and come back 2 weeks later just to blow my entire unit. Then they want to charge me $3700 in unnecessary modifications that are not covered by my home warranty to make a repair to a unit They blew up. Called another professional and will be getting my unit replaced without the Unnecessary charges.

Climate King was assigned by my home warranty company(AHS). They came out and told me my whole unit needed to be replaced. Once my whole unit was replaced, they told me I was good to go and that everything is working. Within 2 DAYS. 2 DAYS. I turned on my AC and noticed my unit was making an unusual noise. So I called AHS and they sent climate king back out, and when they came back out they told me that my Freon line was broken and that it needed to be replaced and it would be $1200! I’ve already spent $4000 out of pocket! For a WHOLE NEW UNIT! They should’ve inspected the ENTIRETY of my unit before leaving. This is absolutely absurd! I shouldn’t have to put more money into something that is BRAND NEW.

Wonderful crew and very professional. This team kept me updated the entire repair.
