NorthStar Services provides professional services and I would recommend them to anyone. Appointments were made easily and they showed up when they said they would. I had both a furnace and AC installed. There was clear communication during the process and clean-up was very thorough. Don’t hesitate to use NorthStar!!

Fantastic service and honest and fair staff. They've come out to replace our furnace and fix our AC. On both ocassions, we felt like we were made a priority and had technicians to our house ASAP.

When our furnace went out in the middle of winter late at night, they had someone on call come out and set up heaters throughout our house and had people there first thing in the morning to set up the new furnace.

Would highly recommend to anyone in need of HVAC services!

We had Northstar run our natural gas line for our furnace this summer. Not very happy with the quality of work that was completed - we had discussed how the line should be run beforehand (along the bottom edge of the siding), but the person who did the work buried the line and ran the bent-up line into the house at a crooked angle. It does not look professional, and our siding contractor even commented on how poor of a job it was. Very disappointed.

This review is for the quality of communication from Northstar Heating and Cooling, not the quality of work from the technician, he was a professional. We have a late-80s fuel oil boiler. We scheduled an appointment for a checkup and cleaning. My wife and I had taken off work for the appointment and the technician did not show....no call, nothing.

The appointment was rescheduled after we called Northstar to let them know the technician never arrived. They put us on the books again for about two weeks later. The technician inspected the boiler system, adjusted the points, bled the radiators, and replaced the burner nozzle. He was professional and courteous. He also said they do not clean fuel oil boiler heat exchangers since it requires a special HEPA vacuum and brushes.

Cleaning the boiler is why I called for service in the first place. The person I scheduled with did not say they don't do cleanings which is unfortunate. We found that out from the technician when he arrived. Most recently, we were experiencing an issue where the boiler was kicking out on a -4 degree day. I called and talked with the receptionist who said the our technician would call us back the same day to discuss the concern and see if a service visit was recommended. We never received a call back (3 days ago). The good news is I was able to figure out that the cold had caused the fuel to gel and I resolved it. This level of communication is simply unacceptable since they advertise 24/7 emergency service. It seems like unless you are shelling out big $$ for a emergency furnace replacement...they don't care.

I would highly recommend Northstar Heating & Cooling. My sump pump died as soon as the deluge of melting started. They had Russ out there within hours and he completed the job quickly and at a fair price. He covered his shoes and cleaned up everything. Northstar has installed furnaces in my home and previous home and I will continue to use them. Their customer service is top notch and their prices are fair. Thank you for everything!

Northstar Heating and Cooling did our yearly maintenance check on our furnace and I couldn’t be happier. The technician was very thorough in explaining everything he found, plus what kind of filters we should be using. He even emptied our dehumidifier and checked to see if there were any recalls on it. I wanted to keep him for other household repairs, but he had other work to do so I had to let him go.

Russ did an amazing job!! At first I had another company come out and look at our furnace that wasn’t working. They basically told me I would need a new furnace and broke a piece of piping instead of screwing it off. I called NorthStar and they told me I did NOT need a new furnace. They fixed everything and got my furnace working properly, very quickly. I couldn’t be more grateful for an honest and knowledgeable company while my husband is currently deployed fighting for our country. Thank you!!!

When natural gas was announced it would be making it's way to my community I asked Travis at North Star Heating & Cooling if it made as much financial sense as they hype I was hearing. After an honest assessment, no crystal balls but a simple calculator he showed me the pros & cons of making the switch. Clearly it was an unbiased opinion since he is in the business of furnaces, not fuel sources. I appreciated his honesty and have had him in to service my system since.

I had Northstar install a furnace that dramatically reduced my winter heating costs and I have had them come out for two service calls since then. Both times they responded quickly and completely fixed my issue. I highly recommend them.
