We got a report from a different HVAC company (the installer) about a refrigerant leak during annual maintenance. We've been looking to find a new HVAC maintenance company to use instead, and we had been recommended Genove by a coworker. They were able to get us on the books quickly. We're in Arlington. They were very professional and upfront about their pricing and the potential system problems. They sent out a technician (Shawn), who was fantastic. He walked me through each of the steps and was extremely transparent with the process. He ran two separate tests and found that there was no discernible leak. This was a situation in which a less honorable company might take the opportunity to upsell us on an expensive replacement or fix—a big reason we were looking for a new company instead of our installer—but Genove did not. Shawn was completely above-board. He confirmed our system is healthy, topped off the refrigerant, and gave us a clean bill of health. We'll be working with Genove and hopefully Shawn going forward!
Shawn was responsive and punctual. Our AC issue was quickly identified, was clearly explained, and repaired. Price was very reasonable, I would hire again for any future issue.
I had a leak in my tankless hot water heater. I called Genove, and they told me that they already had a guy in the area. Frank was in my basement 20 minutes later diagnosing the problem. It's hard to beat that for a quick turnaround. Armando sent me a quote later that day and was very responsive in answering my follow-up questions. I had the Gold Service Plan and they honored the 25% discount on parts and labor. Shawn showed up right on time to do the repair and had the whole thing wrapped up before noon. After the work, he walked me through the whole setup and explained all the work he did. It looks great, and it works great. It's never fun paying a lot of money on big unexpected home repairs, but I'd rather see my money going to friendly, fair, and professional people at a local business like Genove. Thanks for the great service and great work!

Service Technician Frank came out today to fix a heating issue and with his expertise and troubleshooting he identified the problem, fixed it and got my heat running again. Being without heat in the winter is a humbling and stressful experience and you need a service partner you can trust to help you out - Genove Oil & Air is that company!

Tom and Richie, the team who installed my new furnace in a small condo, managed to fit it into the small space created 30 years ago, found a way to make the vent invisible, solved all unexpected problems with good humor and ingenuity. It was a pleasure to have them around for two days!

And they always provide great service. Any issue I've had they've handled professionally and worked with me on my schedule to make sure it's diagnosed and fixed correctly and quickly. As a homeowner, even the smallest issues make me freak out and every time I've reached out to Rob and the Genove team they've been courteous, attentive and most importantly, helpful. I can't speak highly enough about them. In a very competitive industry, it's comforting to know there are people and places like this that genuinely care and do right by their customers.

My wife saw a puddle of heating oil under our ancient oil tank and it was leaking; granted a slow leak, but I was concerned it was going to turn in a Exxon Valdez incident and rupture.
So I called Genove after-hours and the call was answered in just a couple of rings. The woman on the other end took my details and said a technician would call back shortly. And he did, a few minutes later! I repeated to him what was going on and he said he’d be at my house within 90 minutes.
Sean arrived on time and quickly evaluated and put a temporary patch on the tank to stop the leak which has held up a couple of weeks now, though the tank needs replaced, which Genove will take care of later in the month. Sean was professional, efficient, set my mind at ease and very open to answering any questions I had. What a great asset to Genove!
I can’t express my relief at the speed and commitment to their customer’s emergencies Genove has. What was a stroke inducing moment thinking my basement would be flooded with oil and the cost and complexity of remediating it turned into an evening of relief knowing the best oil company in Boston was standing behind me.

We needed a new boiler. After a lot of research and getting a number of bids we chose Genove largely on the strength of and how good Tom was in handling what I thought our needs really were based on my research. I believe he listened to me and recommended the right system for our needs. Some companies recommended a system that was more than what I believe we needed. Genove was not the cheapest nor the most expensive. They're not an overly corporate company. You feel like you know them, even Rob whom I only ever spoke to over the phone. I had a couple of question on the bid, and they responded promptly. They scheduled the day of install (about a month out) and then showed up on that day. In other words, they know how to schedule. It was an excellent crew of three (Tom, Richie and Ryan). It all went like Tom said it would, which given the age of homes around here is sometimes not at all the case. The system has been in now for nearly a month. It's great. Works just like it was advertised to. It looks really nice too. I've been a machinist (lathes milling machines, etc.) and have plumbed more than a few things in my life, so I appreciate good craftsmanship, and I'm very happy with the system. I don't know if it's saving me money yet vs the old 1970's system it replaced as I don't have enough billing experience with it yet. I expect it will, and if not I'm sure they'll help me figure out why. No issues with the system yet. I expect if anything comes up it'll be taken care of. These guys are classic New England folk Funny, no-bull, hardworking, respectful. It was a pleasure to have them around for a couple of days. I recommend Genove for your oil and air needs.
