Always very responsive, professional and accommodating on the phone. Jeff, the technician who came over, is very respectful, professional (he was the one who solved the problem also the second time!) and transparent explaining all the different options to customers who don’t know much about AC or heating stuff!. I’m happy with this Company and the way they respect customers and honor their word when something is not done as expected, always there to help. Will definitely recommend them!

I’ve been a customer with Boston Standard for the past three years but cancelled my membership today. Over the past two weeks I’ve experienced very poor service including inexperienced plumbers and bad workmanship. The company did send a more experienced plumber to fix the issue but only after I complained. Additionally, the price gouging is completely out of control. I needed a new hot water heater and received a quote for over $9k (including shutoff system). A different plumber is at my house doing the same work today for $2500. If you hire Boston Standard to do work, be prepared to be taken advantage of. I will not be back.

Kai was incredibly helpful, efficient and professional. We had three different problems and he was able to help with all of them. He gave great advice for what we can do going forward as well.

I've been using Boston Standard for about 18 months now. Originally for specific maintenance on my combined heating and AC unit, and since then doing their monthly maintenance package. They've been professional and helpful the entire time, and the monthly fee has been reasonable for 2x year inspections and discounts on service fees.

We've had Ramon out for multiple calls and he specifically has done a great job. Happy to be working with BSC.

We hired Boston Standard for a plumbing assessment on a house we bought. The technician (Nate) was professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. He took the time to understand what we were doing, and made helpful suggestions to protect the house without trying to upsell us on items that we will be renovating in the near future anyways. We will be using them for the recommended repairs, and definitely look to them first for any future work!

From assessment to completion, this project couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Boston Standard staff was consistently punctual and professional, work was clean and organized. The inefficient WeilMcClain boiler relied on a maze of piping to supply our radiators and storage tank and was sitting on over 24 sq ft of limited basement space. The new wall mounted Lochinvar combi system gave us unobstructed paths to our laundry area, with clear supply lines, an easily accessible shutoff/purge valve for multiple zones. Air intake/venting were strategically placed to avoid patio area (which was greatly appreciated for aesthetic reasons). The electrical team was equally impressive utilizing the existing chase to run wiring for multiple thermostats, exterior sensor and multiple zone relay. The project managers were constantly involved and followed up to ensure all worked well. The rebate team ensured we sent in required documentation in a timely manner. This project moved us from a system 75% efficiency rating to a top of the line 95%. We truly appreciated the varied possibilities offered during the initial walk through. This knowledgeable team ensured that we set our house up to meet energy needs right now and for expansion projects in the near future. It was lovely to work with a company that layered in all necessary teams from assessment and planning, to removal and disposal of old equipment to complete installation with both electrical and plumbing and to receive high quality service from all.

Nick made two trips to my condo to evaluate my heating and a/c system and provide a quote for replacement with a heat pump system. He was very professional and pleasant. Nick provided a very detailed proposal to replace my system and was very responsive to my questions and emails. I was very happy with his level of service.

Thomas was on time, kind and professional explaining the steps of the maintenance and the findings. Reliable company, very professional and technicians cover their shoes in the house and do a very clean job !

I was without heat for several days and when other companies didn’t have appointments, I was able to get serviced soonest with Boston Standard. Bill dedicated several hours to servicing my boiler and replacing the parts needed. He was very knowledgeable and walked me through what was needed to get the job done. I’m very thankful to Bill and the team at Boston Standard for getting my heat up and running again. I would absolutely recommend their services.

The contact with the office was easy. The rep showed up within the stated scheduled time. He was pleasant and professional. He did his inspection, took pictures of the area where the old burner and hot water tank placed. In addition, he counted the radiators inside the house and measured their distances. He did his calculations to get the price. I was very impressed by all these! Trying to justify the high cost, $27,000 plus after MassSave discounts, he included items that other companies have as a package deal. He mentioned replacing the the zone relay kit, obtaining permits for the job, cleaning up, etc. Also, he was inflexible on reducing the cost onsite until he went to his office. At the same time, he asked me to commit to the $25,000 while he tried to get permission from whomever. These brought some bad memories from past contracts.
