Gervais promptly diagnosed my issue and provided me with a written estimate. The work was delayed due to supply chain issues, but I was contacted as soon as the parts came in to schedule the service. Upon installing the new part, it was discovered that there was also an issue with the system in the attic. I was again provided with a written estimate and was contacted as soon as the new part was delivered. The technician was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He even explained the most efficient way to use the mini-split, which was very helpful.

My wife and I used Gervais Mechanical for a new hybrid heating system with a central A/C install in 2021. Gervais never returned to verify the system was operational. Our Regal oil furnace as not worked since day one, our electric heat pump trips the breaker and doesn’t heat the house above 64 degrees on cold nights. Gervais ignored my calls for service and missed several appointments to look at this and has not responded to a single service call, nothing but empty promises after spending $15,000.00 with them. I have an active complaint with the AG’s office against them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on anything this company offers you! High staff turnover, empty promises and poor quality work and no ownership or responsibility, they blame us for not purchasing an overpriced service plan with them.

How can a system that is not two years old be two years past service? Once again Gervais is living in an alternate reality. Gervais has refused to provide such documents, however they will have the opportunity to respond through legal recourse. Save your money people, do not do business with this shady company!

I initially called following an aggressive cold snap where we ran out of heating oil and couldn't get our furnace restarted after an oil delivery. They were able to get an emergency appointment out to me the next day, and given the number of homeowners experiencing HVAC outages and burst pipes that weekend, I'm sure they were swamped.

My technician, Ben D., called prior to his scheduled appointment block to confirm, and arrived on time. On our way to the furnace, we noticed water in the garage where a pipe had ruptured that we didn't know about. Ben was able to find the leak, stop it, cut out the broken copper piping, and fashion a replacement for that section, as well as get the furnace up and running, all in 90 minutes. He certainly went above and beyond what we had scheduled him for because we hadn't realized the extent of the issue. Excellent service, and a fair price for the work that he was able to accomplish while he was here.

No one wants a heating problem in January. Vervains offered me an appointment the next afternoon which I took. They then called me back an hour later and said they could come first thing in the AM. They diagnosed the problem immediately. Although they had to replace 3 different parts they had them all in the van and had the system fully functional again within 2 hours. Great service, great quality and I would call them first for any future heating issues.

Last 3 experiences, were all terrible, they repaired a gas fireplace a yr and a half ago which broke 1 yr later, they couldn't respond to the issue because they stopped servicing those. They tried to fix broken AC, refilled the unit refrigerant for about $1,000 ish and it was not working again in 2 days, tech ghosted us, we finally got someone back and they quoted crazy upselling scope. Just did a service call for my boiler system, which they replaced the tank on 1 yr ago, bc it was not working intermittently, couldn't find anything wrong, charged $500, it is now not working again 24 hours later, when I called for emergency service they said it would be $500 just to come out again. I would rather freeze to death than to give them another dime. Guys were all nice, maybe its just bad luck but that seem implausible.

just like they charged without even doing anything. They did not mentioned anything about charges when I setup a call to check water heater issue . Spent less than a 1 min and said we have to replace and charged for doing nothing . Big ripoff, when I called them they are saying they’ll adjust the charge when I go with installation and there quote is way to expensive than other company who did installed . That company came in and checked never charged for consultation.

here for for no more than 10 mins and handed me a bill for $440 to unclog a single toilet. I complained and they charged me $400 with senior discount.

Called and they came same day. Technician came out earlier than planned. Figured out what we needed and reviewed everything with me before doing anything. Then went to get the parts and came back and did the repair quickly.
