Martel HVAC

My AC broke a few weeks ago, I found the technicians extremely friendly, accommodating and skilled. My AC was replaced in no time. The owner answered all my questions and I will 100% be hiring Martel HVAC again and I recommend this company to everyone.

This company is a scam!

Called them for mulfunctioning AC. Charged me $485 per hour without disclosing the fee ahead. If you are going to charge that much, at least let the customer know so they shop around.

Ridiculous charges:
$485/hour for a no AC service call
$185 for a ~$12 capacitor - I know because I replaced it on the other unit a few years back. I just was not home, I could have done it myself.

Incompetent Technicians:
Tripped GFCI switch and left it tripped - led to a small flooding around unit. Called the technician and he says the pump needs replacement!

Left AC unit on 3 legs and loose screws all around.

They also told me my blower motor needed replacement. I am looking at it and I cannot see what was replaced. Looks exactly like the one that was there before.

I have called the office 3 times. Always someone will call you back, but no one does.

Complete scam.

I have the correct company alright. I posted this here since I am tired of calling and leaving messages; I am not calling back again.

Attaching a picture of the $485 per hour charge showing "1 item" with description of "per hour" and a $185 charge capacitor charge.

I do not often post online reviews, but I find them valuable and my experience with Martel was so poor that it should be known by others. The fan to my furnace needed to be replaced and Martel installed / maintained the unit for the previous owner. I had installed an expensive air ionizer during the start of COVID. Shame on me for not checking to see if the air ionizer was there after the Martel employee serviced the furnace. A couple months later when I was going to change the air filter, I found that the air ionizer ($750) was no longer there. As context, it's installed with heavy duty magnets and plugged into the motherboard of the air handler... this isn't something that can get up and walk away. When I called Martel to inform them, their only response was, "the technician no longer works here, there is nothing we can do."

Absolutely unbelievable. Poor customer service and shady technicians. If you use them, make sure you pull up a seat and watch them while they work.

Martel HVAC knocked it out of the park for us when we woke up with no heat on a cold day. From the person who took our call to the very nice and tremendously capable technician who came over almost immediately, the process was smooth and super professional. Martel asked for our feedback to them directly too- another sign of a company that cares. Our tech Nick did a temporary repair, ordered the parts we needed and told us when he'd be coming back. He carefully explained everything, told us what to do if the heat goes down before he comes back- even invited us to call his cell if needed. Emergency service does not get better than this. We thank Martel and recommend them highly.

Had a situation where our heat was not working. Martel sent a repairman out with in 2 hours. The rep came out identified problem and it was fixed within a half an hour. Very pleased with service

I have been using Martel for the past 5 years and their service and professionalism is excellent! I highly recommend them for your HVAC needs.

Nick was very knowledgable and a good at communication. Unfortunately I have to replace my old unit, but it was only a matter of time and I trust him.
