HORRIBLE SERVICE FROM POLAR AIR. My AC went out, Polar Air repaired it, and within 48 hours the unit was out again. The sales associate, Shea came out, provided me a quote to change my unit out for me but when i called back to schedule an installation - I was RUDELY BLOWN OFF with the comment from the Polar Air sales associate of "i am just going to pass on this!" . I am going to contract a DIFFERENT AC COMPANY to install a new AC unit and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone reading this should do the same.

My Fan Motor went out on my A/c. Called Polar and the same day Tyler came out to tell me I was right. He replaced it in about an hour and was on his way. Very nice guy. My house is getting cooling. Thanks again for the work.

We use HVAC companies all over the country and as such know how much time things take and how much they cost. I was quoted $149 for a Saturday service call and diagnosis. This is standard, I was happy to pay it. The technician advised they use flat rate pricing which always makes me hesitant, but I was assured they have the best rates in town. Guy seemed nice and honest, so I agreed to let him go to the property. He showed up within the arrival window and was polite with the tenant. When calling with the diagnosis the technician advised that the igniter needed to be replaced in the unit for a total of about $341 plus the service call for a total of $488. An igniter is a maximum $50-75 part and takes no more than an hour, probably closer to 30 minutes to replace. On time service, friendly technician, astronomical pricing, truly. I wouldn't use them again and felt like people needed to know there are companies just as friendly who charge considerably less. I felt lied to by the technician who advised their pricing was competitive and frankly held hostage by the fact that they were already there and I didn't want to disappoint the resident. They also refused to discuss the pricing with me at all, take it or leave it, which is their right to be fair. But, by the time I paid another service call on top of theirs it would have been more expensive anyway. For reference this repair should be 30-40% less or the service call waived based on the average amount of time required and the material cost. Very disappointed.

Polar Aire came out for a 2nd opinion when AB MAY in KC tried to claim I needed a $1650 furnace repair. Google "cracked heat exchanger" and read the common scams. Tyler from Polair Aire was very knowledgeable and refuted the other company's claim. He could have just said he would fix it for $1000, but didn't! A third company came today to verify! Polar Aire is TRUSTWORTHY!

I can not say enough kind things about Zack and his team, today. They arrived promptly and went right to work installing our new steam humidifier. Since it was a retro fit, they had quite a challenge with getting the wiring to the fuse box, but they worked tirelessly at it, and got the job done. Kudos! The installation looks amazing (haven't had it long enough to review how the unit works) and they left the area cleaner than it was before they arrived!! Zack explained how the unit works very well.
