Santa Fe Air Conditioning & Heating

They were on time and very professional and we’ve used you for quite a while so you’re trustworthy and we know what kind of business that you do so we always call you when we have heating or air-conditioning things that we need done!

The technician was very experienced and knowledgeable. We have used Santa Fe Air for over 20 years.

Tim was the tech that visited and he was awesome. Taught me a lot and was able to get our 11 year old heating system working again for us. He did ask us if we would like to have someone come out to quote us a new system and we plan to have that done sometime in the future, but we are going to try and limp along with our current system for the time being. We had a couple small holes from rust in our gas flue and he was able to validate no carbon monoxide was making its way into the area. He taped the holes and recommended we get that fixed soon. Planning to work with Santa Fe when it’s time for our replacement system and will be asking to work with Tim in the future!

I've used Santa Fe for years and in the past rated 5 stars and recommended them to others, but have had bad experience with them recently. Over the prior 12 months...

Sep 2021 - Technician noted blower capacitor was measuring borderline and recommended replacement for $100+ and could do it same day in 10 minutes. I ordered the exact same part for $9 online and installed it myself in about 15 minutes. I know they've got to make a profit, but that seems excessive.

May 2022 - Seasonal service at my Dad's house and he noted AC was cooling poorly. They inspected the system and couldn't do anything, recommended calling an electrician to check the wiring and then call them back. We paid to have an electrician come out, inspect the wiring and find nothing wrong. Santa Fe came back out and then determined the AC compressor failed. They ordered the part and another crew came back out to install it. That crew wasn't able to do the rest of the spring inspection / service and said they just did installations; we had to call to schedule that for yet another day. 4 total appointments plus unnecessary electrician inspection (and cost). Seems like it should have been done in two.

September 2022 - Scheduled service appointment in advance for noon -2:00 window. They called evening before and confirmed appointment between 12-2. Day of appointment they call at 10 am leaving message that they are on their way and arrived at 10:30. Thankfully I was working at home all day, but still had to rearrange conference calls since they were early. They offered to sell me a humidifier filter for three times it's retail price anywhere else. Then an hour after they left they called and remembered they forgot to do something (not sure what) and wanted to know if I was home so they could come back and do whatever that was. I guess I'm glad they remembered not completing the job, but not sure why it wasn't done properly the first time.

Despite paying to be on an annual service plan that supposedly enables discounted prices and improved service, I feel like their prices and service are not very competitive. When my service plan is up for renewal in the spring I'll probably shop around.

All around great service; I have used them for AC install, furnace install and servicing. Every experience has been great and I would highly recommend them.

We’ve used Santa Fe Air solely for the last 9+ years and I can’t rave about them enough! I always recommend them to anyone that needs repair. They’re always on time, friendly, professional and fast! Pair all those things with great repairs and prices and we’ve never had reason to look up anyone else. Thank you Santa Fe for getting us in last minute 1 day before the closing of our house so we didn’t have to postpone!
