We found out on a Saturday morning that our furnace wasn’t working. We called Des Moines Heating & Cooling first since we used them for ventilation work in the past. The owner answered (I didn’t know at the time) and said someone would be there that afternoon. 2 hours later, the furnace was up and running. I asked about getting the furnace replaced. He had his chance to push for a sale, but instead stated both pros and cons. The furnace is running great, however, it’s old so I’ll have them run maintenance on it earlier in the fall next year.

With the wind chill at 20 below our furnace stopped working. We called Des Moines Heating and Cooling. Within 4 hours they arrived at our house. We were given the option of fixing our 16 year old furnace or replacing. We chose to replace. The next morning they arrived at the time promised and put in a new furnace in less than the amount of time we thought it would take. We highly recommend this company.

Was supposed to come to look at my AC today, didn't show up, didn't call. Looks like I will hire another company. I did not contact them for an appointment, I went thru Angie's list for quotes and was texted by them after 9pm. I was called at 6:47 pm today after I first posted this negative review and he argued with me saying I said any time was fine. 7:15_7:30 at night is not fine. That is dinner and family time. He did offer to come out and not charge me for after hours...

Several years ago I bought new ac & furnace from these guys. Yesterday my furnace went out. The repair person spent 90% of his time complaining about my home & being insulting. Less than 24 hours later the furnace went out again. The repair person todtod me to turn the furnace off & back on again & call him if it didn't work. It didn't. His voicemail was turned off & when I FINALLY got him on the phone, he got mad at me, got insulting & rude & started an argument with me. Then he refused to come out & fix the furnace that he charged me the day before to "fix". I have a heart condition & a defective furnace in cold weather can be a big problem. I find that this guy was rude, insulting, doesn't care about the company's customers, & he has lost them a customer. I will never do business with Des Moines heating & cooling ever again. I don't like paying to have incompetent repair people insult me.

Very responsive. We called around 7pm, and they were here by 1030am the next day.

Remembered our property and previous issues.
