We have had a very good experience with the HVAC services and plumbing services. My one star review is specifically for the electric services.

We recently purchased a house. The house clearly had electrical issues so we had Peterman Brothers come to do diagnostics. They recommended that we replace the breaker box and the meter. Which we did at a cost of just under $7,000.

After we had those repairs done it became clear there were several other issues. I got a outlet receptacle tester and there are several outlets in the house that appear to be 'hot ground reverse'. I can't fully diagnose the problem myself but this could be a significant safety/fire risk. I shut off the breakers to that part of the house until I can get another electrician to come and fully assess the problem. We're still doing some renovations so this is a large inconvenience.

To be clear the breaker box was working prior to its replacement. These issues could have already been addressed had a thorough diagnostic been completed.

Also after the breaker box was replaced, the electrician only labeled the kitchen breakers. Not the biggest deal but in combination with everything else a little irritating.

Again my review is only for the electrical services. I would highly recommend Peterman Brothers for both HVAC and plumbing.

We’ve been members with Peterman for over a year, and have been very pleased with our service. Our technician, Chris, came out today for a complimentary twice a year plumbing check that’s include in your membership. He even stayed late and placed a piece of piping on our water heaters relief valve free of charge.

The first day they sent the wrong type of person. They said they needed to send a drain tech and they would send someone the next day. The next day came and nobody ever showed up. I called and was told they were sorry but would send someone out the next morning. The next morning they showed up and charged over $300 to “clear the drain”. Left and said it was fixed. As soon as someone used the bathroom it had the same problem. Called them back and was told the soonest they could send someone out would be 5 days later and it would be a minimum $85 charge. I asked why I had to pay again since they didn’t fix what I paid them to fix less than 24 hours ago and was told that is just the way it is if I want them to come back out. I will never call them for any repair again…what a waste of time and money.
