I have listed the facts of my experience for your consideration before working with this company. I found the company on the Thumbtack app and reached out to them to provide a free estimate for electrical work I wanted done at my residence. The initial correspondence on Thumbtack went well. The person that came to my residence for the estimate did not event though why he was there. He looked at us and said "I here for panel". We told him our panel had double tapped breakers. He looked confused. My husband asked if he knew what double tapped breakers were. He shook his head and said no. I was in shock at this point and ready to ask him to leave, but my husband insisted we let him proceed with reviewing the work. After some time on the phone and going in and out of our house while leaving the door open every time, even through we specifically asked him to please close the door; the gentleman left without notifying us and left the door open yet again. I received the estimate within a couple of days. It was outrageously priced. The cost for replacing my electrical panel only was 150% percent higher than what 4 other contractors estimated the work to be. It has been over a month now and I just received a call notifying me that my invoice (which I didn't notice I had received the day after the estimate) is still outstanding. It was not communicated to me at any time that I would be charged for an estimate for the electrical work. I could not believe they had the audacity to send me an invoice for a "technician dispatch" when the person they sent was obviously not an electrical technician and didn't conduct any work. I have no words for how the limited experience I did have with this company has left me feeling and thinking.

Today was the first time I used serviceMax service for my furnace that was not heating. I called today and they send the technician Dave within 2 hours. Dave was very knowledgeable and fixed my furnace right away. He was very honest and explained everything to me. I would definitely use this company in the future too and I would recommend all my family and friends to also. Call and ask for Dave he is the best.

I was experiencing a leak from the ceiling in my washroom. I couldn't locate the source, and didn't know whether it was caused by a plumbing or HVAC problem. I contacted Malek Heating & Cooling on a recommendation. I explained my situation to a very friendly person on the phone. The service tech came out to my house quickly and was attentive and personable. He pin-pointed the source of the leak as coming from roof vents and repaired it quickly for a very fair price. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family!

I call Sevice Max late on a Monday night, and they came out the next morning to replace a bad furnace! Mike and his team were very responsive to our needs. We have used Service Max previously with similar great results. I would highly recommend them if you need any HVAC work.

We have been working with Mike Malek and his team for several years, and they are incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. They've replaced an old air conditioning system, updated our boiler and installed a fan above our kitchen stove. Plus, they always complete routine maintenance for us as the seasons change. ServiceMax has always been very responsive, attentive and professional. They do great work and are great to work with. I have used them for several projects so far and have been highly satisfied each time!

Our heat went out and they had a tech come out the same day. They could not get the part we needed as a replacement since it was a weekend but they guaranteed an install on Monday. They showed up on time and replaced the item in no time. We never have an issue with their work or responsiveness. Would absolutely recommend for any work you need done!

We needed to have approximately 1/2 of our mid-50's ranch home rewired to remove a cloth-insulated wire that had deteriorated over its life and presented a potential fire hazard. In addition, we wanted to change out devices to add GFI code pieces. We also wanted to add new exterior light fixtures.
The process started with Pedro C. coming out to view exactly what needed to be done in order to write an accurate quote. He spent over 2 hours inspecting the electrical panel and removed switch and outlet plates to try and capture all of the effected areas in the home. He was also trying to determine how much of the house's wiring was in hard pipe conduit versus flexible conduit.The other two quotes we solicited provided quotes where the salespersons spent no more than 1/2 hour reviewing the job.
Much to my satisfaction, when we granted our job to Servicemax, Pedro was the lead electrician on the job. He spent a lot of time on detail and tried to explain to us in layman's terms what he needed to do to properly retrofit our house to bring it up to code. I really felt he and his work partner, Jeff W., went the extra mile to make sure everything was done to proper current specifications. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend Servicemax to anyone needing electrical work done.
