    Quickly analyzed the most unusual problem that seldom occurs. All work performed to correct the problem was excellent. Jeff also performed two unique steps that should prevent future problems. Jeff is a well qualified individual who is a great representative for RCM. Our furnace is working well. We have always been very satisfied dealing with RCM Heating.

    I had another company come out prior and the technician said I needed a new furnace for 3400.00 or a repair for 1700.00 but most likely would go up once new board was in and other problems would be found. After a recommendation for a second opinion I called RCM. I spoke with Bill and told him what happened. I was told that it should be half that cost but would need a tech to verify. The technician Jeff was able to come out and diagnose and fix the problem for even less than half of the repair charge of the other company. I would recommend this company to anyone in a second.

    First off, the service tech arrived before the scheduled window which is always a plus! Arrived 10mins after I got off the phone!!! Upon arrival he checked the a/c unit adding freon at nearly $100 a pound before performing a diagnostic which showed the fan / motor was the problem. Furthermore, when I received the bill I noticed I was still charged for the diagnostic which is usually waived when other work is performed...overall good customer service may use again in the future, not sure yet.

    Correction...tech did not travel through the storm, it wasn't that bad in my area and the rain and wind started after the tech arrived. Another correction, would be that I was not informed of the diagnostic not being waived during the initial call and if I didn't ask about the charge it wouldn't even been brought up. I do appreciate the call I had with someone at the company a day after service regarding the fee. But don't appreciate the false statements given within the written reply.

    My hot water heater failed on Christmas Eve. No hot water and seriously leaking. RCM installed a new one and removed the old one the day after Christmas. Randy and Ryan were professional, efficient, and explained everything. I use RCM for annual furnace and air conditioning service as well. I recommend this company.

    I have been a customer of RCM’s for about 12 years. When I recently needed to replace my furnace and AC I had them bid on the job. Ultimately I obtained multiple bids from local competitors and some were less expensive. However, those firms were not very responsive to my follow up questions –some not at all which is puzzling given that they spent an hour assessing the job only to essentially disappear afterwards (wasting their time and mine). I compared this service to Bill of RCM who was very responsive and even spent an additional 1.5 hours with me on a follow up visit to go over ductwork changes and other modifications that would improve the cooling of my home. After weighing this along with the excellent service I have received during the past 12 years, I chose RCM to replace my furnace and AC.

    The job was fairly major including ductwork changes to correct airflow issues from the original install 17 years prior which resulted in poor cooling. After starting the job, Bill’s installer Jeff came up with a better solution to improve airflow and even though it would require more time, Bill approved the change at no charge because he wanted to do whatever was needed to improve my poor cooling situation. This resulted in the job taking nearly 14 hours for Bill’s team: Jeff - who was here for the entire install and did meticulous work; Randy - who had to modify a tricky AC install due to the location of the unit; and Ed - who modified much of the added sheet metal work. Bill also spent a great deal of time assisting his crew by installing the humidifier and performing other tasks to ensure that we would not go a night without AC (it was a hot humid day). The job was completed at approximately 930 pm. The house was cool by 11pm.

    Prior to the install, my AC would struggle to keep the house at 78 degrees on a typical Chicago summer day. Now we can run it at 74 degrees and the unit actually cycles on and off as opposed to running for 10 hours without shutting off.

    While I tend to be a loyal person, it still makes sense to obtain multiple bids for such a costly job which I did. I ultimately chose RCM because of the service I received over the years, one of which was an emergency call on a frigid day and Randy was out within a couple of hours and restored my heat. The level of service I received with the install reinforced my decision to remain with RCM. As for the price, the change that Bill approved to improve airflow added a lot of time to the install. I am convinced that none of the other companies would have been willing to absorb the additional work at no charge. Bill of RCM did it because he wanted to ensure I was satisfied with the new system which I am. So, ultimately RCM won out on service and price. I highly recommend RCM!

    We have been using RCM Heating and Cooling for at least 10 years now. We have been working closely with Jeff for about half of those years. He is reliable, trustworthy, and gets the job done! Anytime we have an issue, they are right there as soon as possible. The one thing I have to say about RCM is they are not out to make a fast buck. They listen to the customer's needs and give them what they want. If you are looking for an HVAC company or are looking to switch, look no more! RCM Heating and Cooling in New Lenox is #1!

    I would definitely recommend this company. I emailed them this morning to schedule an appointment when our furnace wasn't working properly. They called me within an hour and Jeff came out within two hours. He was very professional and knowledgeable, got our furnace working and explained everything.GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
