    Went with AWE due to their high rating on google, over 500 great reviews, and the fact that they were 30% cheaper than anyone else in the area for a humidifier install, and boy was that a mistake.

    I am pretty sure my technician was brand new, he continually had to call the shop for advice during the installation. While plumbing into the hot water feed from my hot water heater to feed the humidifier, they cut corners and made mistakes.

    They had to order a “special” part and decided to tie into the CPVC piping instead of replacing them with copper. Ultimately this led to the technician not gluing the special part correctly causing a catastrophic failure 5 days after the installation in the middle of the night. I don’t know if he didn’t use enough glue, didn’t allow enough time for the glue to set before turning the water back on, or leaving the glue in his truck overnight in single digit weather when it’s got an operating temperature of over 40 degrees, but ultimately the installation failed.

    I woke up that morning to a flooded home, 4” of water on multiple levels of my home and a flooded garage. I will give AWE credit for taking responsibility for the poor quality and failed installation, but it doesn’t make up for the fact that I’ve been displaced from my home for over 2 months with 6-8 weeks left until reconstruction completes.

    Lack of attention to detail and experience ultimately caused over 100k in damages to my home that was only 6 years old, and damage to personal belongings that cannot be replaced.

    To the next person who calls around to get pricing for an installation, don’t make the same mistake I did, and make sure your technician has been on the job for multiple years and has experience performing these types of installation duties.

    Advice to AWE: Your technicians that do not have the skills to perform day to day duties on their own, should not be in the field by themselves phoning back to the office asking how to do things. Your technicians should go through an evaluation process and spend time in the field with experienced technicians before being put out there on their own.

    To the technician whom I will not name that installed my humidifier, next time ask for help and have someone come on-site to perform duties you are not comfortable performing on your own.

    AWE is a great company to work with. When they set appointment times they meet them and communicate clearly along the way.

    My technician Pete was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He was not in a hurry to get to his next service call, rather he went out of his way to be sure that I was fully informed of the status of my HVAC systems. Not only did he thoroughly review the services he performed, and his findings, but he also took the time to re-explain the operation and programming of a recently installed smart thermostat.

    From the start of my experience with AWE, Stacy- the sales representative was patient, explained everything to me on products and which fits best. She did not force me into any particular product and gave me suggestions on what would fit our family's lifestyle and budget. Great experience. Now to the installation guys, Rob and Cory. They arrived on time, explained what they will be doing and were very professional. Even though we were hone the whole time, we did not feel one but of inconvenience . They kept the floors clean with a tarp and cleaned up the area by the furnace and AC better than it was before.

    All in all AWE guys are awesome and I will definitely be recommending them to anyone that may need HVAC services

    P.S. I ended up getting the Lennox elite series for both furnace and AC. They are the variable motor ones.

    Their quote process was efficient, clear and gave several options. The installation process went very well. The installers arrived on time and pulled out our old units without a hitch. Then they carefully installed the new units and explained the controls so my husband and I could understand them. The technicians finished the work ahead of time and left our utility room as clean as they had found it. I’m very satisfied with the job that AWE did.
