Had two gas log fireplaces installed. Good pricing, good service. Bryce did the install and he was on time, professional, efficient, respectful, and spent time with me to learn the devices. Highly recommend.

JR Bolton came out to service my fireplace. They did a great job cleaning it, removing all of the elements, reorganizing everything, etc. Upon further review, our fireplace wasn't getting enough power from the thermocouple. The technician had already taken everything apart to do the maintenance so installing the thermocouple was not a huge lift. The thing was already dismantled.

So, the technician goes out to his truck, brings a new thermocouple in and installs it. He puts everything back together and voila. Our fireplace looks and works like new. We then get the bill for the maintenance which was $250'ish. We were aware and expecting that. But wait for it - the technician's boss charged us $235 for the thermocouple. We looked up the part in the manual for our exact model and it's $32. Labor couldn't possibly be the excuse for the charge as I already paid for labor in the maintenance. The damn thing was already in pieces.

Anyway - don't try to bake in margin where it doesn't fit. It doesn't reflect well on the business. The technician said, "The thermocouple is probably like $30, but we have to go get it sometimes or pay for shipping." That wasn't even worthy of a response. The technician did a good job and overall I felt like he was honest. The price of the part wasn't his fault. That's on whoever he made the call to.

Bad taste. If you're not satisfied with your margin on the maintenance, increase the cost. Again - don't bake it in where it doesn't fit.

I've been using this company for over 16 years for all of my heating and air conditioning needs. Matt Green has been the technician I always ask for, he's always very professional and does an exceptional job. We had a great experience in the showroom at Bolton. We had two fireplaces done and they were great. Our last gas insert and logs were installed by Rene Galindo. He did an excellent job. He was very professional and thorough. He followed up with us afterwards to make sure we were 100% satisfied. We were very pleased with his work and would highly recommend Bolton and especially Rene Galindo for any purchase/installs.

I needed help with gas logs and repairing a fireplace and gas light fixtures. Bolton made my life easy -- they came out and gave a reasonable estimate. The service technician who performed the work was on time, professional, and obviously very knowledgeable. I highly recommend them!

So I used this company a few years ago when my tankless hot water heater was not producing hot water. Called them out, and they said I needed a 1” gas line ran compared to the 3/4 gas line, and they said I had a small gas leak coming from the tankless hot water heater, so I contacted Rannai and spoke to a service tech on the phone was some lady and she sent a diagram of the tankless and stated there was a small filter that can get clogged and cause a restriction to the heating element. Costed $1.57 for the filter which fixed the issue. So be careful of these people, because they tried to get me when I had bought my first home. Also called out AGL for the gas leak and it was not detected.

Al did a great job servicing our A/C and Furnace under our maintenance plan with J.R. Bolton Services. We have a system with a filter that is very difficult to access, pull out, clean, and replace. Al was able to do so with ease and in record time. He went over our paperwork with us in detail and answered our questions. We appreciate the quality service.

Dario Martinez did an outstanding job representing J. R. Bolton and in taking care of our fireplace. Our home is over 30 years old. We had to have three fire brick panels replaced as well as a log lighter. Dario called before he came out. He arrived on time. He educated me as to what work he was going to do before he did it. He advised me of pricing of each part of the job. He worked cleanly and professionally. I am very happy with the job he did and would recommend the company for fireplace repair.

An outstanding experience all around. Our new fire was installed today. Faye was an attentive salesperson and Bryce and Victor courteous and professional installers. Bryce patiently explained all the operating features and we are nice and toasty.

I had the pleasure of working with the field service representative Rich O. twice in the last month. Once for him to do maintenance on my units and the second time to clean the coil of my basement unit. Both times he was courteous, on time, took the time to talk me through his work, and explained my options. He even called the unit manufacturer to check on the status of my warranty without me asking. Great customer service!
