Zen Air Heating and Cooling

The price ZEN AIR charges is gouging at its finest. I have never posted a poor review, but people need to know about this company. First the charge a $99 service fee to show up. None of this was communicated when I requested service via phone. This service fee IS NOT included if you choose to have them complete the work. So, I needed a $35 (Amazon) capacitor replaced (diagnostic and replacement 20 mins max). This cost me $99 service fee, plus $500 labor/service, plus their cost for capacitor of $59 for a total of $658. The going rate is $250 - $350 (all in). They did waive the $99 service fee after complaining, but this company is taking advantage of those who are completely unaware of this type of service.

Great customer service, prompt. Charged $199.00 for a service call and troubleshooting of the air conditioner unit. Also, overcharged for installation of evaporator coils that were under warranty. I was charged north of $1600.00 and another person in North Atlanta was charged $1200.00 for the same work. How did I find out? The description of work invoice flew out of the truck and landed in my yard.

Another case of minorities being overcharged for services. Shame on you! Do better!!

I did contact them about the price difference and they offered me a meager $50.00 discount.

Zen Air charged me $550 to replace a capacitor for my A/C. This was on top of the $99 service call charge.

The technician, Herb, was polite and helpful and did his job well. The price for the part and labor is set by the company and it is extremely high when compared to the competition. I should have called around comparing prices, but I didn't unfortunately, since this came up during the service call.

Afterwards, I called other service companies to see if what I paid is within range, and it wasn't. Most companies quoted me between $200 and $300 including service call charge. So they charged me approximately $350 more for the same job.

I called Zen Air to discuss their high cost. I spoke to Service Manager Steve and he said he will give a credit for the $99 service call charge. However, he said, he won't be able to refund it to me. Only owner Eddy can. I was told to call back next week to talk to owner Eddy to see if he would be kind enough to refund $99.

This was a really bad experience. I got fooled. I will never use Zen Air again.

(Also, Zen Air's cost for R22 freon is $200/lb.)

I had 3 estimates for my air condition problem. Zen Air technician wanted to fix problem and they fixed it right. Other companies are only interested in selling a whole unit( $16,000.00). . I trust this company.

I would recommend Zenair. I had an issue with the Air Conditioning in my home and Zenair worked with my budget to come up with the best solution. Marco, Herb, Ben and Eddie were great and very professional. Overall great experience and I now have a working system again.

Great experience! Very detailed in explaining the issues with my previous units and what needed to be addressed and best system for my home. I felt immediate results in my bedroom over my garage. Thanks for the hard work installing a zone and thermostat for that bedroom!!

ZenAir always shows up on time and never tries to up sell services or items I don’t need. They charge a reasonable price and offer a quality service.

I text Eddie at 8:30 He was in Vegas. Yes 6:30am By Nine my time Ed the technician was at my house. Should be everything I need to know and left ifn 15 minutes. Wow. Now that is service.

Herb was very professional and very prompt. Zen took care of a situation that needed to be addressed in a hurry in a few short hours, and Herb gave great pointers for keeping everything running at maximum efficiency- 5 stars!
