Staff is friendly, but they have never actually had the products I've needed out of the 4 times I've been by this store, leaving me driving to another store for immediate instance, or just ordering online. Wouldn't be back for this reason.

Ethan is THE BEST! He helped me with all my eyelet questions. We brainstormed on what the best way would be to hang our new banner. And he cut me keys too! The level of knowledge, experience, and customer service is absolutely superb.

Bad experiences two days in a row. Went in to get two paint samples on Monday, and it took an hour to mix them, and one was mixed onto the wrong base. Tuesday morning I go to have full sized cans mixed and am told to go home and bring the sample can in for them to try and read the formula the employee the previous day had used. The cashier, Rosa, was incredibly rude and unhelpful. After a comment about how frustrated I was that I waited an hour the day before an incorrect sample I'd paid twice as much for at Ace than I did at home depot, another employee comments that "Ace doesn't compete on prices, they compete on service". Clearly you don't get your money's worth on either product or service. I'll be buying my paint at Home Depot where a friendly employee can mix the correct colour in about five minutes.

I wonder what their real reason was rather than what they told me why they denied me to laser cut a blank Sidemill key type for my vehicle I brought to them. They acknowledged they’d the machine. I even told them I wouldn’t hold them responsible (which is is the norm for when people bring their blank keys with them to cutting shops) if the cutting of the key turns out unsuccessful and hence rendering the key to waste. I also told them I’ve proof of ownership of the vehicle with me for which the key is going to be cut.

So if you believe you’d probably also have similar experience as me, just don’t go there. Find somewhere else, for example Batteries Plus Bulbs stores are the best! They did mine without no problem and they are super professional and pleasant interact with. Ironically, it’s these guys - Smith Hardware Delk Road - who told me I can get it cut there when they denied me the service even though they‘d a perfectly working machine.

Ace is NOT the place...at least not the place to pick up an on-line order. WARNING - there is confusion at ACE on-line and Smith Ace Hardware at Delk Road. You can order a product from Ace online and pick it up at the store, BUT you CANNOT return it there - they say. They say, 'You must return it through Ace online.' Calling Ace online, they were mystified why the local store wouldn't accept the return. Confusion and incompetence reigns supreme and there is NO 'convenience' in having an Ace Hardware store nearby. They are confused (or just ignorance or, worse yet, lazy) and there seems to be little contact between these two Ace Hardware entities. Let this be a warning.
Do business with someone else, for in addition to high prices for a limited inventory, they add incompetence and confusion. Stick with a seamless online vendor only. There is little advantage in having a brick & mortar place nearby. Which is regrettable.

Been coming here for couple times but today when I went in I wasn’t even in the first thing they ask me if I’m going to buy something I went to buy a mask I thought one fit all but when I pay it I realized I had a small one I didn’t even left the store they were hiving me attitude. I don’t use the Race card but I will make sure I take my business to another place.

The Smith Hardware Store goes beyond customer service. I do not like Home Depot or Lowe's...My experience here has always been EXCELLENT!!! Thanks to the entire staff at this store....
